We arrived last night after a long day of flying. We were exhausted.nI didn't get the young man on checkouts name but he was attentive, pleasant and got us the best rate for an extra night .nAdvised us of the buffet breakfast and the restaurant for dinners.nWe will have the buffet in the morning and ate here for dinner.nBoth Matt & Jamie delivered quick service with a smile, also advised us if the buffet breakfast.nWould highly recommend the Best Western. The room was clean and tidy and had everything we needed.
I’m editing a previous negative review written on my first night. Thank you management for responding to my concerns regarding the inability to turn off the bathroom light, which is on a timed sensor. There has definitely been sleep disruption due to this.nHowever, I’m now at my third and last night and really have to say that it’s been a pleasant stay. The bed is huge and very comfortable, the hot water in the bathroom is virtually immediate and I love the rainwater style giant shower head. The towels are large, soft and not threadbare. I’m on level 5 and have found the traffic noise minimal. It’s a short walk from the hotel to most places around town. I have taken advantage of and enjoyed the 5-6pm happy hour and the buffet breakfast. If on a short stay and happy to forego room servicing, you’ll receive an $8 discount voucher on food and seniors receive a 15% discount on food at the restaurant.nI want to especially thank receptionist TRACEY for her friendliness, kindness, endless info on navigating Hobart and taking a few minutes for a chat and a laugh each day, her customer service skills are EXCEPTIONAL!
Although the property was clean and generally well maintained, it is starting to show its age and feels a little dated in places. Another downside was the location — it is very close to an Irish pub that played very loud music until around midnight on the weekend. If you are a light sleeper or hoping for a semi-early night, this property may not be the best fit.nThe staff were very friendly and accomodating.
Great place for short stays. Not the most luxurious but lots of hot water for showering. Easy to get around the city but not right in the thick of it. We have been here twice and checkin was much better this time.
Stayed here for three nights. The location is definitely a strong point, very convenient and close to key areas.nnHowever, the room facilities were quite average and felt a bit basic for the price. The most disappointing part of the stay was the luggage storage experience. When we asked to store our luggage, the front desk staff asked us to take the luggage ourselves and the attitude felt unfriendly and somewhat dismissive. It did not feel welcoming and left a negative impression.nnOverall, the location is good, but the service experience could be improved.
