I recently stayed at ibis Styles Hobart and overall had a reasonably good experience, with a few frustrations.nnThe positives first: check-in was easy, the room and bathroom were clean, the bed was quite comfortable, and the room servicing was great throughout the stay. The included breakfast was also better than expected, buffet style with all the usual options, plus the ability to request some dishes cooked fresh on demand, which was a nice touch. It was also handy that the venue is open for lunch and dinner.nnThe room itself was quite small, although it did have a nice enough view. One issue on arrival was that the room felt hot, humid and stuffy. The air conditioning took around 30 minutes to properly cool it down. It’s also linked to the room key card, so if the card isn’t inserted in the wall reader, the air con won’t run at all, and it switches off as soon as you remove it. Thankfully, leaving the second key card in the reader solved that problem.nnMy main disappointment was the parking situation. I had emailed about parking around two weeks before arriving and was told that booking was not necessary. However, when I arrived on Friday, I was told parking at the property was not available. I was then told it would be available on Saturday, and to their credit they did offer off-site parking, which wasn’t far away. Still, it was more the principle of being told in advance that it wouldn’t be an issue, only for that not to be the case when I arrived.nnOverall, it was a clean and comfortable stay with good service and a solid breakfast, but the parking communication and the room climate on arrival could definitely have been better.
We were warmly welcomed by the front counter staff and offered bag storage as we arrived early and well before check-in time. This allowed us to freely explore the city. We found our room comfortable, clean and well appointed. On checking out, we were again able to store our bags as we weren't flying out till later in the day. In short, a very nice hotel run by great staff. We will certainly be staying with the Ibis Styles group again.
we stayed in The hotel for 2 nights, visiting friends. we had a high floor, end room.nThe room was clean and quiet, though we could hear people outside the room so luckily had an end roomnthe elevator was a tad slow, but other than that it was good. the bed was comfy, the room was clean. the location is great, what more do you need
My experience at the IBIS Styles Hobart was awesome. I couldn't fault a thing . The staff were very friendly..The room was clean and had a good view. The view was actually better than expected. The bed was super comfortable. I was also surprised how quiet it was. But the highlight for me was the swimming pool. It was glorious, I absolutely loved the pool. The location of the hotel was fantastic, walking distance to the cinema, to great food places , to the piers and the shops. I absolutely enjoyed my stay and definitely will go back. Thank you
My son and I stayed here for our first visit to Tasmania and we highly recommend this for anyone wanting a great place to stay. The rooms were spotlessly clean, comfortable beds, nice bathroom with toiletries provided if you don't prefer to use your own. Well located to many areas of interest. Would definitely use again in the future.
