The staff here are amazing, they make you feel welcome with a smile and hello. The nurses especially are wonderful!!! They have all been compassionate, caring and nothing is too much trouble. Having surgery is never fun but the staff here, have made it so much easier. Thank you Mulgrave Private Hospital for taking such great care of me and making this experience less daunting and scary.
I was discharged today after a 4 day stay following a gastric sleeve- the staff here are just wonderful. All of the nurses, even those in training, were compassionate, able to explain everything well, and included me in conversations about my care while in the room with me. From the staff in the kitchen who bring meals, all the way to the cleaners on Flynn ward, thanks for making my stay comfortable and easy- a special shout-out to Donna the cleaner who always asked how I was doing despite it not being her job. The discharge nurse who walked me out today was especially great, energetic, engaging and explained as much as possible as to what I should expect over the next few days being at home. The level of care at Mulgrave is amazing. Thanks for looking after me!
Had a day procedure here and just about everyone I encountered was absolutely lovely. Aside from a delay caused by COVID testing, my procedure went smoothly and I felt well looked after. Cannot really comment on the facilities as I was somewhat delirious from lack of sleep and a day of prep/fasting, but from what I remember it seemed clean and fairly spacious. Also, as my procedure was booked in on short notice, they weren't sure what would be covered by my insurance and what wouldn't, so I paid the maximum amount and was told I'd get a refund if it was covered. After a month I'd given up on getting anything back, but after about 6-7 weeks I got a letter saying that I would be getting some money back, which was a nice surprise. The refund process was easily done over the phone.
Had a four night stay in the hospital for a hip surgery and all the staff and nurses that I encountered was really nice.From admission right up to discharge the kindness and warm could be felt. special thanks to the nurse who was with me before and right up to the operating table , her comforting words of “don’t worry we will take good care of you” before I was knock out on the operating table gave me comfort. Much appreciation to all in the hospital, may your passion never ends and your kindness and empathy touch each and every patient of yours.
I had two day procedures here and was very happy with everything. Quick admission, no long waits for my procedure, very kind, skilled and attentive nurses, excellent anesthetist and a surgeon, shortly top level care. Cannot comment on food but my post procedure meal was very yummy. Highly recommend this hospital!
Mulgrave Staff were all so considerate and compassionate and listened to all of my concerns during my treatment. The nurses in Flynn ward went above and beyond what I would ever have imagined a nurse would do as they tried to care for me in my time of excruciating pain actively monitoring and caring. Radiology was ready for me with 5 mins to assess. They did everything that they could to make me feel relaxed and pain free. The whole medical team, nurses doctors and surgeons were all so caring and compassionate! I feel so lucky to have had this team at Mulgrave! And the food was beautiful as well!!
Thank you so much for the wonderful nursing care given to me during this last week . When I was feeling so very unwell the nurses were always there to help. With special mention to nurses Kat, Emma, Camille and Grace who were so caring. The hospital was very well set up in my room because I couldn’t go out and Donna the Cleaner kept it really fresh for me. The Doctors came often which was reassuring when we didn’t really know what was causing the problem. So again I thank everyone at the Mulgrave Private Hospital for their patience and care. As a patient I was treated with kindness and respect the team seem to work very well together which reflects on the overall experience from being greeted at reception to pre-admission and recovery. I was also impressed with the next day follow up phone call to see how I was feeling. One of the best experience I’ve ever had other hospitals could learn from this team well done keep up the great work
We have been very disappointed with this hospital more than once. Despite providing a very detailed list of all medication and providing these in their original packaging correct dosages we’re very rarely given. My husband also has an allergy to cheese which is clearly stated on the admission form and all menu requests. Despite this he has often been served meals with cheese. Following surgery the family were not contacted by the hospital and had to wait until my husband could call us himself. These criticisms are most unfortunate as they reflect our experiences on regular admissions despite alerting the hospital via email.
Level of care from Nurses and Doctors was very good. But Catering was below the standard expected from a private hospital. Accommodation was just adequate and more care should have been taken with positioning in room if private room was not available, due to my post surgery needs and mobility issues. Feed back survey sent via email, very hard to fill out and keeps crashing. Please feel free to contact me to discuss. Update Sept 2022 Hospital PR team replied on googe, but I have had no contact from them.
