The business model at Wellness on Wellington is optimised to reflect the best financial interest of the practice and doctors. Consequently the practice allocates 10+ minutes or 5-6 patients per hour to maximise revenues. This time allocation doesn't always meet patient’s needs and is the cause of over runs. In the 16 years, that I have been a patient at the practice, I was never seen on time. I’m also charged an additional $37.95 over Medicare whilst still have to wait the 30 minutes that is more a feature of a bulk billing practice. This business model by Wellness on Wellington definitely doesn’t appear PATIENT FIRST. To me as a customer, this was not good enough so I complained and not for the first time, a proof that I have been let down before. My issues (after being a paying customer for far longer then the service record of any staff) didn’t even merit a phone call from my GP, the managing senior doctor. Instead I was sent a letter that blames me entirely for the medical practice not being able to keep an appointment, whereas I can. I'm voting with my feet and certain that my leaving will be treated with indifference by Wellness on Wellington. But I cannot help wondering what this says about a business practice where the departure of complaining customers celebrated instead of the business practice improved.

doctors and staffs are great. however the waiting time is a bit too long. even though you are on time you need to wait at least 30min.. but doctors are very caring and listening.

Ive lived in the Dandenong area for 18 months now & had trouble finding a doctors i liked. Wellness on Wellington are a fantastic surgery! I called to make an appointment, it was made an appointment for 45 minutes later, i also requested a female doctor which wasn't a problem. There is no problem parking with a Massive car park for Surgery patients only. Upon arival was greeted quickly, there is a massive waiting area, lots of chairs, a pharmacy & imaging downstairs. I waited for no more than 10 minutes to see the doctor. The doctor was very thorough on getting my medical history as a first time patient. As i was having a "female issues" appointment, she made me feel very comfortable. All appropriate tests were taken & thorough discussion on appropriate action upon results. I left smiling! Happy ive now found a Doctors surgery where i can bring my family.

Doctors and staff really good. Wait time generally not that bad and the waiting room is spacious so you don't feel super cramped.
