Our dining experience here on the both occasions we have been here were second to none. What a fabulous dining experience. The food was so scrumptious and delicious. The mini warm loaf of bread was so delicious along with the selection of butters. The presentation of the food was excellent. The service waiting staff were so attentive and friendly too. Definitely well worth a visit.n
We dined here last night. The bistro has a commanding view over a large beach, residential and further views. The place was heavily booked being only one of two venues in town open on Tuesday. We were seated but it took30 minutes before we could place our orders. I had entree of oysters with a blue eyed cod and my wife went for the scotch fillet instead of the cheaper porterhouse. Oysters came out immediately and were good. We then waited another 30 mins for out mains. My cod was dry and tough not succulent. My wife’s steak more resembled the cheaper porterhouse in shape but was okay however her accompanying mash was so hard it could be carved see photo and the corncob so uncooked the corn could not be scraped off the core and the fork could not penetrate the core. The prices were high for pub food and certainly not worth the quality of the food.
Service was very good and polite, we only had a short wait as we had not booked our fault not theirs. Had the chicken schnitzel with chips and salad chicken was cooked lovely, I enjoyed the salad and dressing really tastie. Gravy really topped it off.
Had entree of the salt & pepper squid, steaks for main, they were cooked to absolute perfection! The hot toddy’s WOW!!! Next level! Atmosphere was casual and staff; attentive & welcoming. Great place! Highly recommend!
Lovely place after being at The Nutt in Stanley. Service was fast and lucky we're before a group of 30. However those meals came out fast. So hats off to the staff. We met lovely staff from Ireland who have been in Australia for many years. Also the food was superb, the warm bread was an amazing idea for the menu. Booking is a must as sitting is for 90 minutes.
