After reading all of the reviews I was a bit unsure whether or not this was the post office for me. We went in at 11 o’clock there were no long queues as mentioned in previous reviews. We were delighted by the selection of gifts available in store such as the enamel mug and sock set, and the squeeze and freeze silicon popsicle moulds perfect for our family around the country. We also appreciated the christmas decorations such as the christmas emu giving christmas a unique australian touch. The girl in front of us seemed to be having an issue so she had two post officers attending to her, which meant that we had to wait but it wasn’t for long and when Thanh got to ya she was helpful providing a range of options to send our items. thanks australia post st kilda rd.
went in to get my passport renewed. great service. The other staff member who was following rules was being abused by someone and handled it very well. The gentleman who did my passport was lovely, 5stars
No calling cards, no text, no email notifying you of a parcel delivery - whether at home or not. No attempt even made to deliver, Was up to me to eventually track the items to figure out they were already there and almost returned to sender already. This happened repeatedly.
My experience was amazing the greek staff member is so friendly so sorry can not remember her name. This store is friendlier then the st kilda store.
Unfortunately this is my closets post office, and all my parcels are left here when unable to be delivered to my home. I don't even receive notifications that parcels are at the post office any more, I have to check the tracking for each parcel to find out days later they're left sitting at the post office. Multiple times I have asked the staff when collecting and item, if there is only the one or if there are any other items for me and multiple times I have found that yes, there were multiple items and they just didn't bother to check? Don't have a system? Completely oblivious? Requiring me to go back yet again, to pick up another parcel when I was already there the same day etc check tracking after the fact and both items were delivered on the days prior, had not been left at the office the same day. Ordered a plant, no notification that it had been left at the office, finally check tracking to find it's been there over a week. Go to collect it and the woman says "been here a week waiting, hope it's not dead"... Thanks. Would have been nice to be told it was there.... Poor service and mostly unfriendly staff.
Extremely unprofessional customer service, especially the women with Eastern European accent gruff and rude, she needs a lot of training, she seems to dislike serving customers…..
Never even trying to deliver my parcel. Always let me collect at the office.
I must say the negative reviews got me weary but this was the most practical post office near me. Picked up my first parcel from them, so far so good. I like the convenience. Update 2 months later: I am in the assumption that earlier reviews about rude staff is probably for a previous staff member. I have not encountered any unsavoury staff since I signed up this year.
When the customers were waiting in line to be served, the staffs were hiding inside, chatting and enjoying their own time. Rude and very unprofessional! Should just quit their job if they do not wish to work
We have a P.O. Box there and we came to pick up new key to our P.O. Box on Monday, 16th May around 2pm. We were surprised that the office is closed with no notice advising why. Other customers who attended also were extremely upset about wasting time. Has anyone else seeing a post office close during business hours without a valid reason or notice?
