I admitted my husband to Emergency Department on the 13th December 2017. He was in a whole pile of strife with his heart. To the front desk staff, nurses and doctors, thank you for your swift action and care, you make the difference between a good experience and a bad one. My husband was moved into the wards and again his care was worthy of a mention. Well done and Merry Xmas

Not at all helpful. Been here a few times over the years and its horrible. Wait times are horrendous and staff dont do what they can for you and they dismiss your concerns. When i was in labour i discussed my concerns about how much pain i was in and i was literally laughed at and she said "you dont know what pain is" Although unable to move and sick everywhere. They left my baby in distress for hours until "she couldnt take much more" and was rushed in for c cection, to which they could not locate a heartbeat. And once she was born she was ok thank god but they left me in recovery hours after so my baby didnt get her first feed until 6 hours after she was born. Aftercare was horrible and was sent home with no medication and no recommendations on what to take. The nurse came to visit after i was home couldnt believe it! Also One of the nurses tried to force me to breast feed while i was in hospital and this was the same nurse that laughed at me while in labour and then she threatened me that i better not make a complaint. To which i never did until writing this review 1.5years later. Just want to warn others not to go here. If i ever have another child ill be staying elsewhere so i can use a different hospital.

Dont rely on day surgery to find someone who needs to be picked up. They have no idea and make you wait when the client is ready. No apology for their incompetent behavior just a blank look. Poor work from alleged professionals.

I have been in Shoalhaven Hospital 3 times in the past 3 years and I cannot speak highly enough of the nurses, the doctors and the cleaning people plus the wards men. I have heard people complaining of the food, lack of attention etc. In my experience I have found that it is the whingers and folk that are not all that sick who complain the most. My husband is going in for surgery Monday 30th Oct and I have every confidence in the Shoalhaven hospital.
