We stayed here recently and honestly were really not impressed. I’ve stayed in hostels all over the world and I really wouldn’t rate this one. Our room was right next to a stairwell that had a heavy door on it so had people banging up the stairs and slamming the door late at night and super early in the morning so a sleep in was impossible. The loft beds are ridiculously awkward to get into and if I were a couple I wouldn’t be happy with that surprise. We also had someone’s toenail clipping on the floor beside our bed so don’t think they properly clean up there. I had springs sticking into my body all over from the mattress and ended up getting a kinked neck from it. The breakfast that is included is just toast and cereal and if you have any kind of intolerances or allergies you have no hope of eating it.nThey were very easy to hire snow gear through so I will give them a 5 star for that.
Had a time to remember here, room had great views of the town and mountains. Staff were amazing especially Mia, Harvey and Will, so friendly always up for a chat and just great people :. So affordable compared to other accommodation in queenstown especially with breakfast included. Rooms had all you can ask for, you shouldn't spend much time in there anyway. There is a bar on site which served top tier food and a great place to meet people if that's what your looking for. There are organised trivia and pub crawl nights which were very fun. Can't speak highly enough about this place. Had a great time.
We stayed over for 2 nights in a double bunk bed en-suite room. Clean and tidy room but thin walls. Has a strict noise limit after 10pm however people still staying up until midnight. Our first night was not so good but saturdays night was so much better prob people are leaving. Nice staff and great services. Met a very clever border collie x
The rooms are very unpleasant and have extremely loud and creaky beds with lumpy mattresses. The walls are paper thin and u are kept up all night with the people next door and above you. The kitchen is absolutely tiny with nowhere near enough utensils and items for the amount of people staying there as well as it being too dirty to cook in. Another issue is that it’s completely inaccessible to anyone who struggles with mobility as to get there u have to walk up a very steep hill - however this is not mentioned anywhere on the website. The staff were helpful and friendly, the breakfast was okay but unfortunately the hostel is disgusting.
This was a decent hotel. It was much cheaper than other options when I went. It’s up a hill and about ten minute walk from main tourist area. Got a little noisy at night, but they have signs that say you have to be quiet after 10, but I was asleep before then so not sure it got quiet. Would stay here again for the location. Breakfast was terrible, just bread and cereal basically.
