Incredible service especially from the young Irish guy. The rooms were very clean and well furnished, nothing fancy but you get what you pay for. Breakfast was simple but awesome, super convenient as well considering you would've had to break the bank to eat in town. Having central parking was really helpful.
Pleasantly surprised!nI was a bit worried after reading all the reviews. But the rooms were clean and a great location with great views. Staff were friendly and the complementary breakfast was good. Not too noisy either. I would happily stay here again.
For the price I can’t grumble about this place.. yeah it’s a bit worn, but it was clean, the white sheets were clean unlike other reviews.nWe stayed for 3 nights over a weekend and had no noise issues we were in a loft room over looking the front -great views! In bed for 9.30-10pm and no issues!nThe staff were friendly and helpful.nThe hill was fine for us but we felt prepared for it, and we managed to get parked in the car park once and on the road the other time. As long as you don’t expect a luxury stay and are prepared for a basic stay then it’ll be fine!
Room was incredible, we had the loft room with bunk bed and for 3 of us we were all really happy; clean, good amnesties, not too loud at nightnOnly issue is the issue listed by others, the hill isn’t too bad if able bodied, but if someone has a lack of mobility please keep in mind the hill to the hostel is very steep. The car park is hard to get into, very narrow and always very busy
Only positive is the location,nnCarpet stunk like urine, was damp and yuck. Sheets felt damp and no mattress protector used. You could feel the springs in the bed. Room had a musty smell. Who ever painted the room did a horrible job it is so streaky it looks like kids painted it. Bathroom is full of mold and is tiny. Can hardly fit. Shower is disgusting, so moldy, old and outdated. Walls are paper thin you can hear everything.nnNot a good experience at all.
