Great location though major roadworks going on around the hotel, good signage made access easy. Our room was clean but in need of an update. Good size though and good mini bar selection. The service was good, very helpful in regards to access with bikes. Bar service was fine, busy night for them. We would come back and try and get a more recently renovated room.
The staff were amazing so helpful and kind.nThe lady on reception who checked me in was so helpful when I had realised I booked the wrong room and was flustered.nnI also had an event at the QT on the top floor Friday night which was amazing. The food and drinks were great but the staff were unreal especially the lady who helped with the IT issues I was having.nnGreat spot to stay and have an event
I booked three nights at QT Canberra before I read the many negative reviews but I’m so glad I didn’t cancel because not only was the room rate excellent value for such a centrally located hotel but the inclusions free parking, free breakfast, free welcome cocktail made my stay even better. Yes, there are major earthworks outside the front of the hotel but inside the staff go out of their way to be warmly attentive and obliging. The food was good, the drinks were generous and my room, admittedly on the non-construction side of the hotel, was clean, comfortable, well provisioned and quiet. QT Canberra is doing a great job in trying circumstances.
Overall good experience but not amazing.nnPros:nClean roomnNice bar and restaurantnHelpful staffnnCons:nThey put a note under our door to say that breakfast will end at 9 am instead of the usual 10 am on Christmas day. We completely missed the note and went to have breakfast included in our package at 9:30 am and was told that it ended.nnThey didn’t make any effort to give us any food to compensate, even though later I found out they were still offering room service until 10 am so they could have offered food to us as we paid for it.nnWe were left starving on Christmas morning because we could not find anywhere open to buy food. Very very disappointed.nnThey could have put sth up in the lobby or near the lift to make sure the guests are informed about the changes, instead of a little note…
From ordinary to extraordinary!nnUnfortunately the government building site next door decided to do some late building works without advising the hotel. So there was some noise.nSo make sure when booking that you ensure you are on the view side overlooking Parliament House in the distance.nnThe hotel quickly changed our room without anny fuss cause of the late night noise. So our experience just went from decent to outstanding thanks to a room change and some thoughtful vouchers.nnThe new view is simply breathtaking and we couldn't be happier with our decision to choose this hotel. Kudos to the staff for going the extra mile and changing the room swiftly.nnHad a fantastic meal last night at the hotel and it was outstanding. The service, food and environment wonderful! Breakfast was just as good with massive servings. Staff are all attentive. Lovely hotel.nnThe hotel has a twist of political decoration. Nice areas to sit and bar.nHighly recommend
