Lovely staff and thoughtful touchesnnI stayed in a one-bedroom apartment at the Novotel and was really impressed. The room was spacious and comfortable — perfect for families.nnThe staff were exceptionally kind and willing to think outside the box to help. There was only a dry-cleaning service available, but when I had a dirty car seat that needed washing, they kindly took it in and helped dry it after I hand-washed it. Such a thoughtful gesture! Really appreciate the help of the staff on duty. It was late around 10pm and the houseman is gone but still willing to go extra miles to help!nnI also loved that there’s a little play area for kids right next to reception — with toys, a tent, board games, and books. It made the stay feel extra family-friendly and welcoming.nnWould definitely stay again!
This was our third stay for our annual Floriade trip. The rooms are clean, beds are comfy the sofa beds, not so much. You can even upgrade to an apartment with a mini dining/kitchen area for extra space.nnThe pool is huge and clean, and the sauna has been operational every time we stay.nnThe staff are really kind and great service. We love the bar and restaurant and the location is perfect.nnGreat value, great location and great facilities. A less lumpy sofa bed and it would be perfect
If I could give zero stars I would! First room smelt of sewerage, kindly moved us to a new room. But see photos of the bed and table in room 2.. seriously throw the table away, no table would be better than this garbage The room/elevator cards consistently didn’t not work. Our room wasn’t cleaned today even though we asked in person. The managers excuse was they are waiting for a new buyer, but meanwhile it appears no maintenance has been done in some time. Very disappointing for the ACT!!!! And for a hotel in the CBD, actually how embarrassing Canberra! Seriously if we hadn’t pre booked things for the next three days I would be leaving!!! Poor Novotel, do better! If I had have paid for a budget hotel, I’d accept it but this was not advertised as a budget hotel.
The room was dusty and the customer service was below the average.nnIt seems like we were imposing on them to attend us rather than they were making us feel welcome.nnThe room was placed on the restaurant floor which every time you move in or out of your room you have to go through the crowd to get the lift.nnRoom air-conditioning was not working, and bathroom water supply was either burning hot or icy cold.nnRidiculous experience, and it was the one novotel in my life that will never visit again.
Beautiful foyer and restaurant. The rest is disgusting, filthy and outdated.nBooked a $600/night executive suite. The decor was stuck in the 80s and the room smelled musty. We had to ask for beds to be made. We had to then ask for blankets and pillows. When they arrived, the blanket had feaces and the pillow was stained yellow See photos Bathroom was dirty. They advertised a 24/7 reception desk, but their phone lines were down. The food service was unhygienic at best. Parking is $32/night but doesn’t accommodate all guests and you pay if if you can’t find a spot. There is no free parking nearby. Closest parking is 7minutes walk outside in the freezing cold for $26/night. We cut our holiday short, I have never done that before. Do not stay here
