Clean room, comfortable bed and good location near restaurants and bus terminal. It was cheaper booking through an outside booking site even when I asked the hotel for best price.nnAlthough it was nice to have terry bathrobes provided they were a small size and scratchy.nThe bar fridge was a lock system so unable to put our milk etc in. There was a note on fridge stating to contact hotel to remove mini bar if you wish to use but it seemed too much hassle for one night.nThe hand shower hose leaked. I informed housekeeping.nnIt was very quiet until 4am when we were woken by 2 women underneath our room talking about their jobs, cars were pulling up and then the talking was joined by male voices, all indian accents. I had to lean out the balcony and ask for quiet. Our room was above the hotel front doors so I do wonder if perhaps this was staff arriving for the morning shift.nHaving said that I would stay again if the price was right
Location is great. Room size one bedroom is really good. That's where it ends. We had ripped bed sheets that were sewn up, one drinking glass between two, a coffee machine but no pods, electrical cables strewn on the floor from the tv equipment, showers which leak over the outside floor due to poor shower stall fittings but worse was our previous stay when cleaners left our door open after doing a clean while we were out.
We stayed at this hotel during our trip to Canberra, and it did not disappoint. The room was spacious and included a dining and kitchen area, which made our stay extra convenient.nnThere was also a mini-bar section stocked with snacks, drinks, and a liquor fridge—all available at reasonable prices and chargeable to the room.nnThe hotel is conveniently located just a short walk from the city and the tram station. The area is quiet, and the staff were friendly and welcoming.nnWe even received two complimentary chocolates as a welcome gesture, which was a lovely touch.nnHighly recommend!
We stayed at Avenue Hotel recently and were very impressed with this hotel. Concierge staff were very helpful with our check in as we were visiting CBR for a few days and looking for things to do. Hotel is new and very spacious. We stayed in a Superior King Room with balcony. Only minor issues were lack of pressure using shower and no usb charging for devices. Once we checked out we used a lounge area whilst waiting to leave for the airport, which was comfortable but perhaps a water station would be useful for guests.nWe would certainly stay again as hotel was within walking distance of Canberra Centre shopping precinct.
Great apartment hotel. Strategic location. I must admit that the service and condition this hotel are very good. We were greeted by a friendly receptionist with good service. The room is very spacious with complete and excellent furniture, fixture, amenities, and equipment. Very comfortable bed, wardrobe with lots of shelves, iron, laundry machine and dryer, cutlery, etc. This hotel prepares it in such detail. Even when we need sewing needles and threads are available. The room is very clean with housekeeping cleaning it every day if we want. They work very well.
