The Avenue is a great place to stay, especially their spa suite. Which is a large suite and the spa fits 2 people. Perfect for a romantic getaway or to celebrate an anniversary. My review would have been 4 stars if not for their signature bed..it's soft, really soft, and not necessarily suitable for all people. It would be better if they had other beds that were firm. Additionally, some of their spas require fixing so that all the functions on them work, especially the lighting, which is amazing when in the spa.
We had the best weekend here in one of the spa suites. It was our anniversary and they took such good care of us and were responsive with any requests we made. Everything was very clean. The room had everything we needed. Location is great and within walking distance to some high quality restaurants and bars, noting that the restaurant downstairs Marble and Grain is also a great choice. Easy parking. Friendly staff. Comfy bed and pillows. We will absolutely be back.
Would have nearly given this hotel 5 stars but had issues on the first day with the adjoining rooms and had to use cardboard to hold the door open for the kids room. House keeping found some door wedges on day three which allowed us to keep the doors open between rooms. House keeping were fantastic in how well they served the room.
It's a very nice 5 hotel, within walking distance of the City and eats district. Superior King Room was modern, clean & well appointed, with a small but ample balcony. Price was very competitive. Full mini-bar and robes. Free secure underground parking if you book direct with Hotel.
My go-to if I'm in Canberra. Professional and courteous service. Parking is a breeze hint: book direct for free parking, sign up to the email list for some great specials. Go the 1BR apartment would be my pick for extra space, mini-bar and kitchen facilities. Really comfy bed, balcony for some fresh air. All around just a pleasant experience with Braddon at your doorstep.
