The Pepper's bar has the most amazing service. Happy hour every day from 4pm to 6pm is great value. $7 house beer and wine! You can order food from the restaurant when feeling peckish. We have made it our local.
Stayed here for a single night for a work trip. Great location being next to ANU for work and also within a short walk to the city centre for meals.nThe room was spacious, comfortable and warm!nDidn’t manage to try the bar or restaurant but both looked busy and popular.nI’d definitely stay here again.
What a funky place to stay. I really enjoyed this motel. The staff were very helpful and the restaurant manager was very friendly and accommodating. Very convenient location easy to access. Very clean and tidy and the rooms have a cosy feel about them. I'm going to make this my go to motel when in Canberra.
Our first stay at Peppers Gallery. We stayed for 3 nights and loved our stay. Reception staff were so friendly and helpful. Location was ideal for visiting ANU. Parking was very secure. Beds were super comfortable, and rooms were very clean and large we booked a king room. Loved the touch of walking into a warm room with soothing music being played. Breakfast buffet is continental only, but you are offered a full cooked breakfast straight from kitchen which was delicious. Unfortunately we didn't get to try their very popular restaurant, as it was closed on Sunday nights. Library Bar was lovely to have a drink in. Highly recommend a stay here!!
I am writing to express my dissatisfaction regarding the service my family and I received at your hotel this morning, particularly concerning the conduct of one of your food and beverage F&B staff members, which left us feeling both disheartened and insulted.nnThis morning, during breakfast, one of your servers, whom I believe may have been a manager, reprimanded my wife over the fact that our children had not finished their meal. This occurred despite the fact that we made every effort to minimise our order by selecting only ONE children’s portion to be shared between our two young children. The staff member’s comment, suggesting that next time we should order less, was both inappropriate and insensitive, particularly considering that there was no practical way to order any less than we already had.nnThe assumption that we had over-ordered, resulting in wastage, failed to take into account that we are a family with unique needs. One of our children has special dietary sensitivities, which the staff did not ask or consider, despite the food taking over 20 minutes to be prepared. As experienced hospitality staff, it should be common knowledge that some children, particularly those with special needs, may have difficulties with certain foods or timings. No effort was made by the team to check whether any adjustments could be made to accommodate our needs during the long waiting time.nnThis interaction has left my wife and I extremely frustrated, and it demonstrates a serious lack of awareness and experience in dealing with families, particularly those with special needs. Instead of working collaboratively with us to address any concerns, we were instead judged and made to feel as though we were intentionally wasting food.nnWhile I would like to express satisfaction with our stay at Peppers Gallery, this experience has significantly detracted from it. I would expect a personal apology from the F&B manager to my wife for their behaviour, and I hope that this situation is addressed with the seriousness it deserves to prevent such occurrences in the future.nnI am an Accor Platinum member, and I can confidently say that this has been the worst F&B experience I have encountered at any Accor hotel worldwide.nnPlease feel free to contact me directly to discuss this matter further.
