Recently I stayed at Crowne Plaza Canberra over the long weekend and had a fantastic experience.nnThe rooms were quiet, comfortable, and felt relaxing despite the hotel being exceptionally busy. The central location makes it easy to access Canberra’s key attractions, restaurants, and shopping areas.nnI particularly enjoyed the hotel’s spaces, which create a modern atmosphere throughout the hotel. Breakfast each morning was crazy busy but excellently managed although had some wait times.nnWhat impressed me most was the team, with more than 600-800 ppl at least occupying the building during a busy long weekend, the staff remained professional, friendly, and attentive at all times. The way they managed the busy period while still delivering genuine care was truly commendable.nnA big thank you to the entire team for a wonderful stay. I would happily return and highly recommend Crowne Plaza Canberra to anyone visiting the capital.

The hotel feels quite dated and shows a lot of wear and tear. The service was mixed, some staff were genuinely polite and welcoming, while others were not very pleasant. Breakfast was okay, I’d rate it around 3 to 4 out of 5. The location was very convenient for sightseeing in Canberra, and the room view was lovely.nOverall, I’d give the hotel about 3 stars at best and probably wouldn’t return

Great location, just walking distance to shops and cafes. The hotel itself is lovely. It's clean and modern and the rooms are well appointed. I do wish the window furnishings were curtains though, instead of those weird wind up blinds that take so much effort to open and close. Seems a bit antiquated... but a small thing in the grand scheme of things. I like that the desk area is behind the bed, so if you have online meetings, people don't see the rest of the room. The food was delicious, though a little pricier than what I expected. Staff were very friendly and polite. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay and I'd definitely stay there again.

The lobby offers a clean and sophisticated atmosphere that perfectly suits a business hotel. Overall, I found the pricing to be reasonable, and it remains a well-managed business hotel despite a few shortcomings. However, if the hotel aims for a more luxurious image, there are several areas that require significant improvement.nRoom & Recognition:nAs a loyal IHG customer, I was informed that I would receive a complimentary room upgrade. However, the room I was assigned appeared to be the exact category I originally booked. On a positive note, the staff were consistently friendly and professional in their interactions. The bathroom was very clean and well-maintained, though the signs of aging throughout the room were hard to ignore.nDining & Bar:nMy dining experience was a bit of a mixed bag. I ordered the lamb pasta; while the portion size was generous, the lamb itself was lukewarm, and some parts were even cold. Furthermore, the cleanliness of the dining table was disappointing. The surface was so sticky that it felt quite unpleasant.nRegarding the bar, the server lacked basic professional knowledge about the drinks. I believe the presence of a dedicated, professional bartender is urgent to meet the expected standards.nFinal Verdict:nIt is a solid choice for business travelers due to its location and professionalism, but improvements in food temperature, table hygiene, and specialized bar service are necessary for a better guest experience.
