Great location. Near trams, parks and a supermarket as well as restaurants.nThe room is well laid out, and being at the back was quiet. But the fit out was lacking. Not enough cutlery and crockery, and the main room TV is small and likely from around 2011 wide bezel, small. The TV in the bedroom was 32cm, I had to wear glasses to be able to see it. Microwave caught fire, they were helpful in trying to fix that including using an ozone machine for the smell but the replacement microwave smelled smoky too.nnPutting tea, coffee, towels etc in the gym is a great idea, but need to be refilled more regularly.nnStaff are all really nice
We stayed at Punthill Essendon from 24th to 29th September while I was competing in a bodybuilding show, traveling all the way from Brisbane, Queensland. We chose this hotel because of its location close to my competition venue, but unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing.nnFirstly, we booked parking at $20 per day, but when we arrived, the hotel parking was already full. We were simply told we would be refunded for one day, but no alternative solution was offered, which was highly inconvenient.nnSecondly, no one informed us that the hotel does not provide room service on weekends and public holidays. We repeatedly called reception to request room service, but no one answered. As a result, we ran out of toilet paper and towels. Only when we went down to reception ourselves were we told that we had to collect these items from the gym room whenever we needed them. This information was never communicated to us during our stay, which caused unnecessary frustration.nAfter staying for several days, I am extremely disappointed with the lack of service, poor communication.This is not the standard of hospitality one expects when traveling interstate for an important event. I would not consider staying here again.
I am a young woman, and I was left stranded with no hotel room at night! Even after having it CONFIRMED over the phone. Person I spoke to on the phone was ridiculously hostile when I explained the situation and then hung up on me! They said I could not speak to a manager.
Too much to write double booked my room I entered to find person in the bed, key wouldn't work so took half hr worth of calls to eventually get in only thing positive is that it was very quiet and close to my sisters hence staying there but wouldn't again, really dusty, see pics and clips
Very elegant, Warm, Charming, Cozy, Spacious and inviting place to stay. We went with Family. The location is very convenient and th le staff are amazing. SHEN and ALLISON are exceptional. Thank you for a good time.
