I was referred here through VincentCare for temporary accommodation, but the experience was very disappointing. The room I was given was unclean, smelly, and unhygienic. The bed looked like it had not been properly cleaned — I could not even sleep on it and had to spend the night on a bench.nnThere were no basic facilities such as a plate for the microwave, cutlery, toaster, or even clean towels. For water, I had to use the bathroom tap, which is unacceptable. When I requested assistance or a change of room, I was refused. Their only solution to the bad smell was to suggest “air pressure,” which did nothing.nnThis is not value for the money paid by VincentCare or for the dignity of people in vulnerable situations. Homeless people deserve to be treated as human beings, not given rooms in such poor conditions.nnI sincerely hope the management takes responsibility and improves their standards — at the very least providing clean rooms, clean bedding, basic kitchen facilities, and drinking water.
We had a great stay at Essendon Motel! The location is very convenient, and the room was fully functional, clean, and comfortable. The heater worked perfectly, and we loved the little balcony. A special thank you to Jade, she was incredibly nice and helpful throughout our stay. Highly recommend!
Rooms aren’t great but not terrible. Location is really convenient. The service here is amazing the desk lady is really nice and changed our sheets for us when we arrived because we noticed a stain and gave us free drinks and let us stay longer for free.
If I could review with 0 I would be.nWe stayed last night , the room RM 5 was absolutely disgusting! The carpet was dirty and sticky. There was mould in the shower/bathroom. The fridge was gross.nWhat had me absolutely fuming was the fact that my 2 year old son was found playing with a piece of broken glass , upon looking one whole corner of the room was covered in broken glass along with some type of prescription pill.nIt was then I went upto reception to complain , the lady behind the reception desk offered to vacuum . She did , however after leaving I still found a substantial amount of glass in the carpet .nAbsolutely appalling, my child could have been seriously hurt . We would have left but we had a medical appointment early in the morning so we had to stay .nnDO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL ! REFUND SHOULD BE OFFERED .
NEGATIVE STARS. Rang before the booking date to inform them that we no longer needed the room, they would not refund but said would keep a credit for future stay, which was fine. We tried to use the 'credit' a month later and the front desk could not find anything, nor could work the computer to show any historical bookings. Assumed the reception had noted it on their system but now they just say speak to booking.com, who will no doubt just tell us to talk to the Essendon Motel. This place operates to simply extract money from the uninformed, which it intentionally does not inform. Should be shut down
