Food is nice (although I think the sister restaurant, Tipo 00, is better). The choices for mains are limited, but some of the entrees are quite generous, so you could have an entree or two instead. I think the menu is quite limited and should be expanded a little. Service is great. Place is busy so make sure you book - if you book, make sure to turn up or they charge penalty per head!

A group of friends had a celebration in private dining room. Everything was perfect. Amazing food, great service and beautiful room. Every share plate they served was delicious and fresh. I lost count of the courses but highlights were the croquettes, octopus, duck and desserts.

Ambiance is really great. Food was delicious. A wide open view of the kitchen is real nice and makes quite a novelty watching the chefs cook and plate your meal. The service staff were also excellent. Would definately recommend the trip down

I am a massive foodie and Italian food lover already and have been to multiple restaurants where i thought 100% nothing will trump them. However, visiting Osteria was an experience my partner and I will never forget. The attention to detail from seating to service from the waitstaff to the food was above all expectations and absolutely amazing! The head chef attended to our experience like we were the only ones in the restaurant offering us additional breads, explanations and even a complimentary side! I cannot fault our experience. Try get a seat on the bench where the chefs cook for the best experience! 100% recommenced and 100% never leaving Melbourne without visiting again! Thanks guys!

Casual atmosphere, outstanding menu at the opposite of "feed at me" concept that too many restaurants are used to. Very tasty. Waiters and waitress are so kind and aware of your wellbeing. A must see place.
