The line was too long both Saturday and Sunday (1hr is outrageous!) But Monday the wait was only 15 minutes. The food was good and the staff very friendly. I was accidentally given a hot chocolate (instead of a mocha) was very sweet but the waitress happily replaced it with a mocha upon request. While I wouldn't come here on a weekend (not worth the wait), it was a nice weekday stopover.

Amazing spot for a lovely brunch. The menu is Spanish/ french inspired and they are famous for their baked eggs and lobster eggs Benedict both of which I would highly recommend. They do not allow reservations and there is usually a line to wait. In saying that you can order coffee whilst you wait. Once seated there service is quick and efficient. The staff are very friendly and welcoming.

Delicious breakfast place! Coffee and mocha were really good. We had the mushroom dish and the pork belly dish (can't remember the full names). Both were really good and serving size was great! It does get really crowded and busy during popular times so be ready to wait awhile for a table. Service there is amazing though. There is also another branch just opposite that serves a smaller menu.

Love it! Great atmosphere, super friendly and happy staff. Food is frenchy, liked it but nothing for someone looking for a simple bacon and egg roll. Love the interior. Worth trying drinks other than the coffee. Had the homemade iced tea which was amazing!! Great place!

This is possibly my favourite brunch place in Melbourne, and there are many, many brunch places around. I've never seen Hardware Societe without a line, and rightly so. The baked eggs are truly a work of art, and I also thoroughly enjoy their Pork Belly. If you go on a weekday, you might be lucky and only have to wait about 15-20 minutes, if you go on a weekend, the wait could be up to an hour. HOWEVER, they now have another area that sells only their most popular dishes and the one time I went, we didn't have to wait at all and it was AMAZING. I got my baked eggs and didn't have to wait half an hour for a table, so make sure you ask them about that or find it (it's right opposite their original location).
