For over 10 years, we’ve been dedicated to serving you the best food Asia offers, in a buzzing and energetic communal dining environment. And you’ve been loving it, repeatedly naming Red Spice Road as home to Melbourne’s favourite pork belly. Awwww, you guys! Thanks.

But seriously, we want you to enjoy every bite at Red Spice Road, and the entire experience. At Red Spice Road, you’ll get a South East Asian-style dining experience with all the energy of a busy Asian metropolis right in the heart of Melbourne.

From the moment you step inside Red Spice Road, you’ll be transported away from Melbourne’s (quite probably) dreary weather and feel like you’re in the heart of Asia. You’ll be dining under our famous red lantern, surrounded by three large scale David Bromley artworks and stunning murals by up-and-coming Melbourne street artist, Mike Eleven.

Love the food here! So many flavours that go so well together. Every time I come here I know that I'm going to get great food and service. Even though we were there during a busy time our food came out reasonably fast. The staff are very knowledgeable and happy to adapt meals for dietary requirements.The pork belly is a must. Can't wait to go back.

I'm very biased against fusion places. It just seems like there's always something out of place or something missing. The food is good but missing some elements. The crispy chicken wings are spicy and hot that you can't really taste any other flavor. The chicken curry is flavorful but lacking heat. The betel leaf red snapper had the consistency and taste of canned tuna with mayo. The pudding had the texture of cold double cream. The ambiance is good and the drinks are pricey because they're upscale and curated and trendy and whatnot. But it's hard to be impressed by the place. I get what they're going for. I just don't know if they pull it off well. Their tasting menus are still good value for money. I mean those beef cheeks alone are quite a good dish. It's just the overall experience is quite average for a place that has so much potential.

Incredible! Booked for a group of 6 on a Thursday night so it was packed but that didn’t affect the excellent customer service we received. The staff were so attentive, filling up our glasses and having a joke with us, truly superb. We went for the Showcase tasting menu and it was just amazing. I’m a vegetarian and they were able to easily cater for me, providing me with my own dish each serving which was fantastic. I feel it’s reasonably priced and we all came away saying how great it had been. Would definitely recommend and come back.

The food was amazing - definitely get the lamb ribs! It's pricey, but the food is so so good. The service was prompt and friendly, and very polite. Cocktails also delicious, and strong. Our only complaint was that they don't do takeaway containers. Had we known that, we would have ordered less food, and we had to go to McDonald's to get something to put out leftovers in. The food was too good and too expensive to leave behind!

My friends and I have been to this place for lunch and dinner several times and enjoyed it. We had a birthday dinner there on the weekend and I found the place to be extremely noisy this time round, was hard to have a proper conversation. The food was delicious and the service was good but the night was ruined when we saw a mouse running under our table. We told the waiter who at first acted like he didn't believe us but then the mouse came back again which the waiter couldn't ignore this time and ended up chasing the mouse out. Other patrons also saw the mouse and felt disgusted. For a pricey restaurant, we shouldn't have to put up with a mouse running around at our feet. The waiter did came back and apologise but we should of gotten a discount on the bill as well.
