Beautiful food, beautifully presented. Fresh ingredients, if I was living more locally to this restaurant I would come very often. Such a lovely place, love Greek people and Greek food. The whole fish of the menu is so yummy and cooked and seasoned to perfection! I also once confused giros and fillet - mistaking the two to be the other way around, the staff were very polite to explain the difference and I simply love this place! It’s amazing! I will be taking all my Greek friends here.

Stalactites claims to be the first Greek restaurant in Melbourne. If you are in the city at any time of the day and need to grab a quick meal, this place is ready to serve reasonable quality food. Over the many years the decor and food have changed and the quality is not as good as it use to be. I get the impression the original owners have moved on. This can be a busy place and relies on turnover to compensate for the lower prices. Certainly much better than grabbing a mass produced big Mac or KFC.

This is a good place and it stays open late, making it popular for the nighttime crowd. The owners/managers are very friendly and the food is good too. Unfortunately when I asked for the sauce on the side, a sauce I hadn't tried before, I was charged almost $3. When I asked why the high cost, the response was along the lines of "take it or leave it", when an explanation would have been a lot better.

This place blew me away. First off, some context - 11pm on a Tuesday night. We went out for food and I was expecting half decent food, but ended up getting a delicious meal with incredible service. The staff were friendly, efficient and formulaic; aside from immediate water service, they had the courtesy to ask how our meals are going during and after (the little things make a big difference). At that time I was expecting the food to be half decent, but I got some incredible food that would give a lot of green restaurants a run for their money, and it came out really fast. The environment is both unique and spacious enough, and the convenience of it being 24hours cannot be emphasised enough. This was my first visit, but definitely not my last - Loved it!

It's my husband's fav Greek restaurant. And they have the best Gyros in Melbourne. The bean soup tastes like borscht, however, we were not impressed by the fish soup. Good service. Love this place.
