San Telmo

This place is fairly casual in dress sense. I would call it neat casual. The service is amazing and the treat you like you are in one of the high end restaraunts. On that note, the food is exemplary and better than some of the more expensive places. It's not the cheapest place in Melbourne, but for the quality of service and the food it is definitely well worth the trip. For me, taking price, service and quality into account, this is a rare occasion when I can give 5 stars and a totally positive review also and be happy doing so.

I and my family have dined here regularlyk over a number of years and have fond memories of this place. The food is always spectacular. Tonight unfortunately the service was sadly lacking. We arrived on time at 6 pm but the food service was slow. At 7:45pm all the food was eaten but not cleared until 8:05 pm when the waitress asked us to leave. There were 8 empty tables around us then. When we requested dessert it was denied us intervention by the management allowed us to stay. Sadly despite the promise by the manager that the dessert would be complimentary were still charged. We are regular customers who enjoy good food and good wine and always order expensive wines and happy to tip for the privilege. Sadly I think we will have to take our patronage elsewhere.

Food was fantastic! I have to recommend the pork cheeks, steak and ribs.. all extremely yummy and tender. The service we got from Flint was also wonderful, he was lovely and extremely attentive for a busy hot day. The sangria was also very good! We will definitely be coming back.

Food was good, wine was good, unfortunately service was not up to expectations. The waitress left me feeling ignored and disrespected. I would certainly recommend this restaurant for it's food, but not it's service. Perhaps I just got an unhappy waitress? Who knows. We intentionally ordered more to taste as many dishes as we could but was not allowed to take the leftovers home :(( it was almost one main and 2 side dishes

Great food and a moody atmosphere! This is an odd review, as I am a vegetarian and this is a steak house. However, my partner and I come here regularly and order a tapas of vegetarian sides, which are amazing! It's a bit pricey, but you certainly get what you pay for!
