Stayed here for 2 months, it was amazing staying here. The rooms were cleaned regularly, the room was big and the view was amazing. The portable cot was great for my daughter and there was plenty of space to have her set up in the bedroom with me. The outdoor was amazing and the water temperature was never too cold. The indoor pool temperature was quite cold but still pleasant to use. The kitchen worked a treat and the Landry made living in the hotel for 2 months easy. Watching the sunrise and set was amazing I didn’t close blinds once. Rooms: The rooms were beautiful and spacious Nearby activities: With the board water parklands just outside this was a great place to swim and walk, then the spit within view was amazing too, and the ferry made getting around even more fun Walkability: I was walking about 15km a day when I was staying here, and to be able to walk to the spit was amazing and the boardwater walk was also a great way to stretch your legs
I’ve been staying at this hotel fortnightly for the past 6 months on a work secondment and can’t rate it highly enough. The rooms are well equipped and the bed is divine. Cool and quiet and perfect. But the real reason for my review is the beautiful staff. Georgia, Amy and Michael in particular. Nothing was too much trouble and I always looked forward to seeing your smiling faces. The staff who ran up a pillow or a blanket were also so lovely. And the bathroom products a real treat. Can’t recommend highly enough. Thank you.
I book 2 bed room suite, Check in to the room one of the bedroom and bathroom was locked, I went downstairs to let the reception know to unlock the room, The reception asking me, Are you actually really need two bedrooms? I said yes I book for 2 bedrooms, It's very rude and unprofessional no common sense to ask this question without apologizing for inconvenience, Also the room don't have enough towels for 4 adults. Other than that room size is good location is good just very bad service and the room should be ready before I check-in
The room furniture is dated. They charge extra for cleaning/ house keeping refreshing during your stay - that’s just ridiculous. That surely compromises the hygiene standards. The EXCUSE given is - after Covid that the new policy. Honestly Covid is over long time ago now and using Covid as an excuse for limited and compromised hospitality is very unprofessional. Price does not reflect the quality of the product or service.
Despite arriving after the promised check-in time of 3 PM, our room was not ready. We had to wait in the lobby indefinitely with the children, and the day was wasted without even an apology from anyone. There were no extra towels at the pool, and we didn't see any staff managing the area for over two hours. The room cleaning was very basic, and there was significant mold on the window frames and in the bathroom.
Had to ask for the room to be vacuumed after we arrived due to a lot of black hair around the apartment from the previous guest, and the last day I discovered older blood stains on the pillow case. Showers a bit mouldy on the edges and cockroaches in the foyer. We enjoyed the pool area and supermarket access downstairs. Be careful to take your access card if moving from the inside to outside pool as there is no door handle on the outside of the door and we saw a poor family locked out in the cold and dark
Went for extended family holiday wanting multiple room configurations. Meriton accommodated our needs. Great rooms. Beautiful views. Short tram ride outside your door to inner Surfers CBD without all the noise when sleeping. Indoor and outdoor pools, with BBQ if you are keen. Rooms: One bedroom + lounge/kitchen area with ocean views; or if you need the 2 bedroom they are very roomy. Great for adults and children with enough space. Peaceful. Safe. Family friendly Nearby activities: Water park swimming and play area; SeaWorld over at the Spit; great kid friendly location Walkability: Local shops, including Woolworths only metres away Noteworthy details: Tram line across the road for hassle free travel on Gold Coast. This has been the worst 5-star hotel I have been to. It's not a 5 star hotel. The view is amazing, but that's all. The decor is cheap, compliance is cheap, the toilet paper holder and towel hanger were coming out the wall, mould all in the shower area. The water temp won't go hot. The worst part of the trip is that there was a dirty pad rolled up on the floor in the bathroom. We asked them to clean the room again, and the only thing they did was fix the bed and remove the pad. Everything else was still dirty. They don't seem to be concerned when you have an issue with cleanliness, I think they get this all the time and don't care to fix it.
I stayed at this Meriton Suites Southport in February with my daughter. It's has a great view and good service. We spent great time on the Gold Coast and Southport. I also remember one of the staff members named RISHI. He was gentle and nice. He showed me the best service in Gold Coast accommodation.Rooms: 5/5
Stayed here for 5 days in an ocean view 40th floor suite. Amazing views, beautiful balcony overlooking the marina and ocean. Managed to check in 5 hours early! Front desk staff were always helpful and polite. The TV in the lounge wouldn't connect to allow us to stream, maintenance attended quickly and we ended up with a replacement TV and two chocolate bars : Thanks Bill! Will definitely stay again 5* Nearby activities: Tram stop right outside
