I went to JB Hi-Fi looking for a home computer. I told the salesperson exactly what I needed—something for emails, internet browsing, and work documents. I made it clear I was not a gamer, video editor, or filmmaker, but I did need plenty of storage for years of photos and videos of my dogs and grandkids. Since I hadn’t done extensive research, I relied on JB Hi-Fi’s reputation and trusted that I wouldn’t be sold anything that I didn't ask for or was unnecessary.nnThe salesperson recommended a computer that he claimed was perfect for me and said it was a great deal—normally $1,699, but he could give it to me for $1,450. Before purchasing, I asked one last time: Do I need anything else to make this work for what I need, straight out of the box? He assured me I did not.nnLater, when I got home, I checked the receipt to find the model number. That’s when I discovered the truth:nnThe computer wasn’t $1,699—it was actually $1,092.nnI was also charged for an annual Microsoft Office subscription $179 and an annual antivirus subscription $179.nnTotal: $1,450—meaning I was charged $503 more than expected.nnTo make matters worse, I found the exact same computer at Officeworks for $947.nnI immediately called the store and spoke with the salesperson. He was completely unapologetic, simply saying, Oh, I thought… But I had been very clear about what I did and did not want. I asked for a refund of the subscriptions and the price difference—reasonable, given the circumstances—but was told it was impossible to do over the phone, and I had to come back in person. Absolutely ridiculous!nnSo, I got up, went back to the store, and returned everything for a full refund. When I spoke to the manager, I expressed my disappointment and asked whether this kind of misleading salesmanship was acceptable at JB Hi-Fi. His response? A careless “No problem, we’ll refund you.” No apology, no concern—just indifference.nnThis was a truly frustrating experience, and I expected far better from JB Hi-Fi. I’ve been a loyal customer, but after this, I’m seriously reconsidering ever shopping there again. I went to Office Works, got an amazing salesperson, and an amazing deal of a better specs computer at a cheaper price.
Great place to buy electrical appliances at good prices where first class assistance is available to help you to know more about the item you're looking at purchasing.nJust bought a TV and by talking to the assistant, I saved quite a lot just by changing the type of screen but not the size.
I had an absolutely amazing experience at JB Hi-Fi Lakeside, all thanks to Jordan. His service was outstanding! Jordan is incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything about the soundbar in detail, which made it so much easier for us to make the right choice. He’s not only extremely professional but also very friendly and approachable.nWe were so impressed with his exceptional service the first time that we specifically returned to JB Hi-Fi Lakeside to purchase our soundbar from him. On top of that, he gave us a great deal, which we truly appreciated.nIf you’re looking for someone who genuinely cares about customer satisfaction, Jordan is the person to go to. We’ll definitely be coming back in the future. Highly recommend!
Jb Hifi you have done it again. Not only provided top notch service but have a well designed and well stocked store. Managed to snag 2 dvds sadly they didn’t have a special on but maybe next visit.
Today was looking for 360 selfie stick 2 in 1. The service was appaling. The young guy standing near the headphones seems uninterested when i approached. I asked him to check and bluntly said not available and walked away. I approached him again and askes which store has available stock. Again bluntly responded there are stocks in whitfordd and innaloo. Great i called whitfords as i do not trust his word and there was none! . Lucky rang them first before i head down there. Shouldnt have come here . Will never ever use JB hifi again!!nnNote : so glad i bought my 360 x4 in harvey norman Joondalup and went to Anaconda in Innaloo to get the selfie stick . Got the best customer service in this stores
