My wife and I stayed here on a Saturday night after having attended a concert at Homebush. Alex at the concierge desk welcomed us professionally and efficiently. He was full of advice and recommendations and wished us goodwill throughout our whole visit. This hotel has been around for a while and, despite any historical conjecture about the appropriateness of the location, I can truly say it was fabulous. We walked up into the city several times along William Street and through Hyde Park. It was a perfect location for us. Thank you Alex and thank you , Holiday Inn Potts point!
Outstanding Service by Prathmesh – Holiday Inn SydneynnI had the pleasure of staying at Holiday Inn Sydney before my flight to USA on October 25, 2025, and I want to sincerely commend Prathamesh for his exceptional service throughout my stay. From the moment I checked in, he went above and beyond to ensure everything was smooth and comfortable. Prathmesh saw my kid and gave him ice-cream coupons and bag of kids activities which came really handy on our aeroplane travel to keep him busy.nnPrathmesh was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful — providing clear details about parking options, employee discounts, and dining times, all with genuine care and professionalism. What impressed me the most was his readiness to assist with anything I needed, no matter how small the request. His warm attitude and attention to detail truly elevated my stay and reflected the highest standards of hospitality.nnI strongly encourage the management team to recognize Prathamesh for his dedication and outstanding guest service. Conveniently situated next to the Kings Cross train station, this hotel is just a two-stop ride from Central Station and within walking distance of attractions like the Art Gallery museum and St. Mary’s Cathedral. While the interior and room furniture may be a bit dated, the spacious TV and large bathroom are worth mentioning. The hotel staff went above and beyond to assist guests, providing extra towels, a travel charger, and even holding onto luggage after check-out. Note, guests must use a key card to enter the hotel lobby after 10 pm.
We missed our connecting flight due to storms so QANTAS booked us into this hotel as another flight wasn’t available for almost 24 hours. What was a frustrating experience was eased considerably by the excellent staff at this hotel and the comfortable rooms. Alex at reception and Megan at the restaurant in particular have been amazing - so helpful and kind! We were lucky enough to get great views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and a late checkout too. Ended up having an enjoyable day in Sydney with the family in this very conveniently located hotel. Highly recommend!
Great location! So close to the metro and definitely walkable as an area. The bed was super comfortable. The room was nice, and the staff let me check in early In spite of arriving a little earlier than check in time!nI would stay here again for sure!
