The Events Cinemas here appear to be one of the older ones in Perth. The audio and video quality of the theatre was decent. They had clean and hygienic washrooms however no staff was present to assist a little later at night. The air con inside the theatre was initially not working and that seemed to be an inconvenience in the warm summers. They have a spacious car park with plenty of spaces. The car park seemed to be free of cost.
Today i was celebrating a catch up with my pals and decided the cinema was the way to go. Upon arrival not only were our noses filled with the horrible stench of fieces ,blood, gum and other substances me and my pals were not able to identify smeered ALL over the seats.THIS WAS IN CINEMA 8.Not only did it take us two laps of the entire cinema CHECKING EVERY SINGLE SEAT to find the cleanest seat to sit on but these seats still had stains on them and we’re still not up to standard.side note, the cleanest seats were the ones at the front, and in my opinion, the online booking fee due to trying to get good seats in the first place and no movie in general, is worth breaking my neck over!Thank goodness the cinema was empty and good on the perth community for know what cinemas to not go to otherwise i would’ve been sitting on the stairs.nThe uncleanliness and unhygienic environment is not welcoming and i do not recommend it to anyone. And you bet our hoods were up the entire movie, with fear of the substances and in hopes that it would prevent any further contact.nHonestly wanted to ask for a refund and leave as soon as i saw those seats.Yes i took into consideration the price of the tickets and the area which the cinema is located.nmy pals were not impressed either.nNot to mention the state of the floors left me in a state of shock , as i couldn’t actually see the floor at this point, as it was filled will rubbish, other unfriendly items use your imagination and popcorn. Speaking of popcorn, i think the amount of salt could probably cause someone to have a heart attack . On a side note, don’t bother treating yourself with a sweet snack , as the price of a packet of M&M’s were nearly $10. I understand inflation and everything, but that price is honestly ridiculous at this point.nBathroom facilities were disgusting punched holes in wall, doors missing, bins overflowing and didn’t seem very well looked after and cared for.nNothing was wrong with the movie screening itself, as the movie ran smoothly. Yet again , that is the bare minimum required as a paying customer . As a whole i am disgusted, and really think morley cinema should take these critiques into consideration and do better to improve .nI wish i took a photo , as the sites me and my pals witnessed were honestly undescribable , and would make a bucket of rusty nails and glass look more appealing to sit on.
Not a modern cinema that's in desperate need of a refurbishment. On arrival, the lobby smelt musty, and looked dirty. Same experience in the cinema itself. The chairs are in disarray and are very uncomfortable. Audio/visual quality = mediocre when compared to other cinemas.nnMy partner purchased tix online and disappointingly was charged an online booking fee which is ridiculous considering the alternative is to purchase tix from an employee who is paid an hourly rate of which the org would incur additional costs via this transaction method.nnThe patrons of the location acted in a disorderly manner, causing my partner and I to shift seats and feeling uncomfortable during the movie.nnVery surprised there was no security, nor adult personnel on hand, given the location and the known element frequenting the centre.nnDisappointing and irresponsible management.
My experience at Event Cinema was highly uncomfortable and unpleasant due to the dirty environment. The seats were stained and unkempt, and the floors appeared to have not been cleaned in quite some time. The overall hygiene standards were disappointing, making it difficult to relax and enjoy the movie. I would not recommend this cinema to anyone seeking a clean and comfortable movie-watching experience.
Saw One love about Bob Marleny was awesome. Good value for money. Never too crowded. Snacks though, I suggest you take your own, they are a bit expensive, that said though much of their revenue would come from snacks and we definitely don't want our cinemas closing down because they don't make enough money!
