Experienced an IMAX which has recently been built, I would only say one thing that it was one of my best movie experiences I ever had. We watched AVATAR Fire and Ash, and wow the quality of 3d and visual was top notch. I will highly recommend
The IMAX screen is not the largest in the cinema even though it may adhere to the required ratio. The sound and 3D effects are good, and the recliners are plush making a 3h movie comfortable to watch. But the midsize screen takes away from the experience a little bit. The toilets need better upkeep.
I saw yesterday Avatar on the “IMAX” screen. The quality was disappointing, low contrast, low saturation and resolution . The 3d was awful. The sound wasn’t even tridimensional as they promote and the chair I was on was broken . Worst experience on cinema ever
We always come to Hoyt Carousel if we want to enjoy the movie. Located at the heart of the mall, it's very easily to find it.nThe place is really good, we enjoy spend our time. But something missing, the smells of popcorn like in others cinema i've been to Malaysia and Indonesia cinema, the smell of the popcorn in front of cinema is really alluring.nnMaybe we will try to experience different type of studio to complete our experience at Hoyts Carousel.nnPlus part are :n- They have good program which is $10 every sunday before 12pm, please keep this program. It's really a gem.n- big area on aisle between cinema, it's good because feels like not crowded.n- the reclining seat are working, large enough and very comfy.nnThe minus part are :n- no seating area in front of hoyt, it's a good one to provide some space for seating area while waiting to choosing tickets or food.n- no bag hanger at toilet, so we can only put our bag on the floor.n- overpriced food and drinks, but it's okay plenty of restaurants to choose from after the movies.
We had a very disappointing experience at Lux Hoyts. Despite having plenty of staff visible, it took an unreasonably long time to be served. At one point, a staff member told me she assumed I was already being served — rather than asking — which added to the frustration.nnOur popcorn was forgotten entirely, and we had to call staff during the movie to have it delivered. We were also not advised that the bottled water was extremely large and could easily have been shared, which would have saved us money.nnWhile the recliners are spacious, they are clearly worn — the leather has faded and deteriorated from overuse. To make matters worse, the menu handed to us was noticeably greasy and the popcorn was super salty.nnWe spent $140 on tickets, food, and drinks for what was meant to be a special occasion. Unfortunately, there was nothing “lux” about the experience. For the price point, this level of service and presentation is simply not acceptable.
