Went to Hoyts in Lux Cinema today in Midland. Lux is meant to stand for Luxury & Luxurious.nAs a first timer to Hoyts Midland & to what I thought was going to be a treat , I was horrified when I walked in and saw the recliners in the condition ready for the tip ! Absolutely Nothing luxurious about the entire experience & I was also laughed at by 2 staff members at the bar for expressing my disappointment. Disgraceful ! Save your money and go to Gold Class at Event Cinemas in Innaloo -
Pretty clean. Seats has some sticky cola on them that hadn’t been cleaned up. And a lot popcorn was down the sides and the rear of the seat cushions. Also noticed this weird mark in the screen in cinema 6.
We bought the tickets as a nice night out after a rough week to go see IF at Midlands lux cinema marked 18+. Not only was the cinema far from lux but there was also multiple kids who ruined the movie making noise. The website shows the theatre with comfortable, clean and well kept recliners in a theatre that is specifically for lux guests. The theatre we were in had old, falling apart recliners that sat at the back of a theatre in a normal cinema with regular guests in front of us.
Luxe lounge horribly rundown and nasty worn seats. But they still charge $37.50, one of the highest gold lounge prices I've seen. Restaurant smells like rancid oil and fried fish. Needs a huge overhaul.
Went to the movies today, husband and I very rarely go to the movies. Hoping for a lovely day out, well it was far from it. Being school holidays we had for young males around 13 or 14 years of age sitting behind us. As the movie started a gentleman came over and asked them to stop talking one in particular, said it wasn't them when it clearly was. As it was the total of people in that movie today was around a total of 12. The one boy kept talking then the lady in front of us told them to be quiet. But they continued I kept looking back but then had enough and told the to be quiet. That one boy told me to turn aroundxand mind my buisness. I then went to adk for the manager while I was out there the lady in front came and said the boy was being rude and swearing. The manager came in stood at the entrance for a bit then I pointed the boys out . The manager came up and stood there not doing anything. Then he left the boys continued talking, I had already missed some of the movie while walking out to talk to staff. So when it was over I spoke to the manager and asked why he didn't do anything, he reckons he couldn't see them properly. We got our money back but would rather drive over 40 mins or more to go to another cinema. The boys were very disrespectful towards everyone in the cinema, the staff at midland handled this disgraceful.
