This hotel needs to be changed to 3 star hotel and the only reason id keep it that high is for the location as that is the only thing you’re paying for. Before we even entered our room we were greeted with an empty pint glass outside the door, then entered to iron burn that had been painted over on the carpet and black mould in shower and electrical cords everywhere. I immediately requested a room change we were “upgraded” to a higher floor with a bigger bed but still mould/ black gunk in the shower, hair that was not ours all over the bathroom tiles, tape holding together roofing, stains everywhere, $2 shop quality outdoor furniture, rotting nails, discoloured bathtub, spiders in the hallway. Everything is just worn out and dated it urgently needs a refurb. Not to mention our TV didn’t work we called reception were told maintenance would come ASAP and hour and multiple unanswered calls later were told by someone else maintenance wasn’t actually working that day. When someone finally came up I told them not to bother. It was a weekend you know you’re going to be busy, roster accordingly. I will say staff were friendly and that was a redeeming factor. So to recap when you go to pay $300 odd a night to stay here you a paying for location NOT quality. Photos are from the second room we were “upgraded” to. Also a note to the hotel I see you’ve had numerous comments about the state of the place namely the mould maybe time to stop giving the generic “thanks for your feedback, sorry for your experience” reply and actually do something to fix it? Just a thought..
Context: family of 4. 3 year old + 1 year old. Stayed here after a 5 hour flight.nnReally easy to get to from the airport. The room was large and housed us comfortably. The food was great for both dinner and breakfast. And the service was good, though at dinner the kids could have been served faster.
The hotel is fantastic. My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights and the location was minutes away to many great eateries, market and the coast area where we had Kailis' fish and chips.nnThe rooms are quiet, clean and the spacious. The only issue I had was that the balcony door's lock wasn't working and one could actually climbed through the balcony from the neighbouring rooms if bold enough. I did not make a fuss of this tho, and did not lost anything or felt unsafe during my stay.nnwe thoroughly enjoyed our stay/sleep here.
0 star if I can. If you concern about your health never check in on this hotel. The bathrooms got heaps of moulds. Dirty room. No customer service. Paid good money for good service but the management on this hotel just didnt care.
I recently spent a weekend at the Esplanade Hotel Fremantle by Rydges and was impressed by its blend of old-world charm and modern convenience. The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of Fremantle, making it easy to explore the lively markets, historic sites, and bustling cafes just a short walk away.nnCheck-in was smooth and welcoming. The lobby had a classic elegance with high ceilings and a warm ambiance. Despite arriving early, the staff managed to accommodate my request for an early check-in, which was much appreciated.nnI stayed in a standard room, which was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The decor leaned toward neutral tones with subtle nods to the hotel’s heritage. The bed was plush, ensuring a good night’s sleep. The balcony overlooking the pool area was a nice touch, though I did notice some street noise in the evening – nothing that disrupted my rest, but light sleepers might prefer a room facing the courtyard.nnThe bathroom was functional, featuring a large shower with great water pressure. While the amenities were adequate, they weren’t particularly memorable – a small area where the hotel could elevate its offering.nnThe outdoor pool area was a highlight, perfect for relaxing in the Fremantle sunshine. The gym was compact but equipped with all the essentials. There’s also a sauna, which added a touch of luxury to the stay.nnI had breakfast at the Atrium Garden Restaurant both mornings. The buffet spread was generous, with everything from fresh pastries to made-to-order eggs. On Saturday evening, I dined at The Harbour Master, the hotel’s signature restaurant, where the seafood was exceptional. The service here was attentive, and the wine list featured some excellent local options.nnThe staff truly stood out during my stay. Everyone, from the concierge to the restaurant team, was friendly and professional. They seemed genuinely eager to ensure guests were comfortable and well taken care of.nnThe Esplanade Hotel Fremantle is an ideal choice for a weekend getaway. It offers a great balance of location, comfort, and charm, with a touch of Fremantle’s laid-back yet vibrant vibe. While there’s room for minor improvements in the in-room amenities, the overall experience was delightful. I’d happily return for another stay.
