Great location especially for local hospitals if ubering they are always close by. Really friendly and welcoming. Nice hum to the place and a funky lounge dining area which was a comfortable area to spend time in. The meals were well priced and good. The rooms are small but very well thought out. Plenty of room under bed for suitcases. They are environmentally friendly and use high class ecofriendly bathroom products.nThe lower floor I was on initially wasn't as good as the room with the view. I will always pay the little extra at reception when booking in at Tribe to upgrade. It was very quiet, relaxing and overall a great experience for a solo traveller. I felt very safe at all times.
Good location, breakfast bar was nice. Hallways and rooms were extremely dark, with really worn in walls/carpets/furniture. Was fine for a quick night & quiet enough, but wouldn’t want to stay longer. Low end of a 4 star hotel—would consider it a good 3 star hotel.
The hotel certainly has a unique character and plenty of quirks, but unfortunately that was where the positives ended for us.nnThe room size was quite small, which is unusual for Perth, though we were already aware of that beforehand so we can’t really complain about it.nnThe room also lacked proper heating. Aside from a small portable heater, there didn’t appear to be any effective way to warm the room, while the air conditioning continuously blew cold air. As a result, the nights became uncomfortably cold.nnWe requested a late checkout at check-in and were told we’d receive a call the following day to arrange it, but no one contacted us. I then tried calling reception twice myself and received no answer.nnOur shower was missing conditioner, which we reported to reception and to their credit, that issue was resolved quickly. However, the shower also failed to drain properly. Reception advised that engineering would attend to fix it, but the issue was never resolved during our stay.nnBreakfast was another disappointment. The buffet did not include eggs, which felt unusual, and instead offered a selection of lukewarm, somewhat stale hot food that seemed more suited to lunch or dinner. Coffee was an additional charge, while the included option consisted only of instant coffee sachets and hot water. There were also no alternative milk options available for cereal.nnAs a regular member of the Accor group, this was a disappointing experience overall.
Continuing my run of trying Accor hotels. Tried this one. Yes the rooms are small, that’s the way it’s designed. It’s incredibly innovative though with the use of space including the under bed storage areas. Service excellent. Clean and tidy. Scottish lady behind the bar, I forgot to get a name, was absolutely sensational. Lovely note from the GM with cookies and a half bottle of red. Close to Kings Park. Enjoyed it.
It’s not a clean hotel. Found trash on the floor when I stepped in. When I tried to raise the issue the staff told me housekeeping already did their due diligence checking the room. When there were mishaps the hotel staff was quick to say it was not their fault. Another example was that I waited 20 mins for a coffee. They said the docket fell on the floor so they did not see it. Not one of them felt responsible or apologized. Perhaps its staffing issue that made people react like this. Clearly there is not enough staff as checking in also took forever as there’s only one person. This hotel is under Accor but expect it to be dorm style ibis level charging much higher than ibis price. I am sure you have read about the room size.
