Staywest Apartments - Subiaco Accommodation

Apartments were in very good condition and clean. Everything was there to enjoy your stay in Perth. Loved the fact there there was sugar, tea, coffee, salt, cling wrap, foil, milk, cereal as well as washing powder. All the little thing to make it feel like your at home. We arrived late so it was nice to see we had something to tie us over in the morning. Shops are walking distance close to Kings Park and the city. Great pub next door. Can’t fault it.

We have stayed here a number of times over the years and always enjoyed our experience very much. The location is excellent and hard to beat and the apartments are fully furnished to a very comfortable standard. Annabelle, our host, has thought of everything with the information she provides and is very experienced in dealing with short term accommodation bookings. The complex has a lovely relaxed feel about it and it's great to have a pool to cool off in to escape the summer heat.

If you're a light sleeper and staying in an apartment with another floor above you, don't count on a peaceful stay at this establishment. Sound insulation between floors is practically non-existent... so much so you'll hear the guests above going to the toilet as well as other general banging about at all hours of the late night/early morning. The bedroom of my ground floor unit sat adjacent to a back road on which there was a regular parade of people entering or exiting their cars while parking right outside my window (again, poorly sound-proofed). The apartment is decently appointed internally (note: no two apartments are the same throughout the complex so do your homework before booking). The immediate neighbourhood is rather bleak being mostly commercial but within a 10 minute walk to a selection of decent eateries. Overall, the experience felt more like a motel than a stylish 'home away from home'.

The accommodation in Subiaco is absolutely brilliant, it is smart in layout and it has a very welcoming feel. The location is outstanding, central to everything I wanted to do in Perth; it is on the train line, close to restaurants, close to Kings Park .... The WIFI access is excellent, the car parking is very convenient and this is my preferred accommodation when I visit Perth.
