We had a few unpleasant hiccups during our stay.nnFirst of all, even though we asked for a baby cot in the room one week upon arrival with a confirmation email from the hotel it would be installed; this wasn’t the case. At 3AM we had to wait 45min to get a baby cot . This was uncomfortable for us , especially our baby and definitely not what you want after a long flight.nnMoreover, the first day, our room was not cleaned at all. We asked the reception early afternoon if possible to go as our room had been forgotten. But wasn’t done.nnFinally, the last night we decided to eat at the restaurant of the hotel. We were very disappointed by the food. We did not enjoy the entree cheese croquettes are dry and our mains were too heavy.nnAt check-out, the lady asked me if I had a pleasant stay. I did inform her about the above. She just replied “I hope your next stay with us will be better”. I did not find this answer customer centric at all and to me, it felt like a standard reply. I would have preferred not been asked how my stay was.nnThis is not up to the standards of Hilton. I am disappointed about the attention to details , the attention to the customers. Definitely not a restful stay as we would have wanted it.nnHaving said that , the hotel has a good location. Everything is walking distance Perth main attractions, train station, Kings Park & Botanic Garden…nThe staff is generally nice and friendly.nRooms are average size, renovated and clean.nThe swimming pool area is inviting and a nice to have in a city.
I recently had a offer from Hilton to try them vs as a Diamond elite IHG member. Wow all i can say is this hotel exceeded all my expectations, we got the if available room upgrade from our membership level the rooms are twice the size and the service was amazing. All the staff were clearly there to be attentive and thats great for Australia as usually we only got that level on attention in Asian countries. Well done, the new executive lounge is amazing and worth getting into if you can upgrade your stay. I rarely give any hotel 5 stars and if i could pick at something reasonable i would have.
The location of hotel is perfect, close to the offices/restaurants and walking distance from King's Park and other attractions. The hotel staff, including front desk, housekeeping and F&B is friendly and accommodating. Although the F&B staff could do better in recognizing the regular long stay guests. I had breakfast everyday in the restaurant, yet I was asked questions as though it's my first visit.nIt's a good option for short stay, however I wouldn't recommend it for a longer one. The breakfast has limited options, specially for hot food. And the buffet menu is same everyday, no change at all during the three weeks I stayed. The rooms are are modern with a nice bathroom, however the windows do not open, making the air inside stale after a while. I faced some issues with room cleaning as well, which were eventually resolved. The swimming pool is good, having temperature control. The gym is okay, has sufficient equipment for cardio but not enough for strength training. Overall, the stay was just okay, not too good not too bad.
The Parmelia Hilton hits the jackpot for those who want to roll out of bed and into a shopping spree at Murray Mall or a feast at a nearby Chinese restaurant. It's also a hop, skip, and a jump from Northport—perfect if you enjoy scenic strolls. The concierge might as well have a PhD in attentiveness, and the pristine rooms suggest that the cleaning crew does too. Highly recommend for a comfy stay—just bring your walking shoes
Nice hotel. Rooms good but really need a balcony - they feel a bit enclosed with windows that can’t be opened. Breakfast ok - sausages look very weird and no Heinz beans. Pool area very nice and also the executive bar. WiFi is terrible and it would make me question staying here again - if you want any kind of streaming WiFi you need to pay for it on a daily basis. I think a hotel of this standard should be offering good WiFi as standard. We were disturbed quite often by the mood music playing from the pool area - one night it was left on all until well into the early morning. Otherwise, this is a good hotel with helpful staff and it’s well situated.
