Called Friday just gone to ask if the could move my old pc into a new case along with new parts at about 10:30am they told me to bring it in. spoke with me about what i wanted and gave good advice, came to pick up at 5 that afternoon they close at 5:30 and the boys were still finishing up on the case, they worked until about 6:15 getting my pc done although its was late notice and past close. Very friendly, fair price, and both lads seemed to have very good knowledge! would recommend to anyone.
After a bad experience, the store manager let me know that if I ever needed anything in future, they can price match stores like Umart as they use the same supplier unless the item is on special. Came in at a later date to purchase a computer part which Umart was selling for $40 not on sale, standard price and they had listed for $99. I commented how the manager had promised they could price match non sale items. I was told by the angry guy at the counter there’s no way they would be able to match that price and that it was unreasonable. Purchased the identical item from Officeworks 20 minutes later for $55. Everything is overpriced and they profit off of naive customers who don’t have experience with computers. Go anywhere else.
My pc was having issues when launching and running games so I handed it in, paid $150 for a service and clean which was already up from the usual $90. I was told that the gpu fans were clogged with dust and that a clean would fix it. Got called back that afternoon too pick it up in the morning, I got there but was told it was most likely an ssd issue now since it crashed during a stress test overnight and to come back later in the day. I came back and was told that it was actually a power supply issue which was $250 to replace it with a better one. All good I thought $400 all up is a bit pricey but worth it if the problem is fixed. I plug it in later that night only to find the problem wasn't fixed and I had spent all that time, all that money for nothing. I called them back, explained what happened and they offered me a free service which is about the only thing I can give them a star for. I took my pc back up the next day to see if they could actually get it right this time. Spoke with a different technician out the back, asked about the new power supply and why it didn't fix my problem only for him to say that it wasn't a power supply problem at all, he actually had no idea what was wrong with it. A few days later and I get a call saying that it was actually the graphics card all along... what a waste of time and money. I honestly don't know much about pcs but after the run around I had been given I want to warn anyone thinking of going to eds pcs, I don't want this to happen to any other unsuspecting customer. Hit up any other pc store that actually knows how to do their job and next time you think about going to eds pcs just don't, your bank account and pc will be better for it.
I purchased a PC and had a few specific requests from them. parts i wanted changed and other things and they made a really good effort to make sure they worked quickly so that i could have my new gaming pc fast even though the store was really busy that day. the guys i talked to in-store were friendly and indulged my questions about all the things i was interested in and even went out of their way to get me a good price. hope the boss passes on my compliments to his staff. thanks again guys. loving my new computer
After having issues with a HP Notebook returned with faulty Notebook and HP Authorisation Letter. Emails sent were read but not responded to. Ended up after weeks of going back and forth between HP and Eds Pcs buying an MSi laptop from them that was highly overpriced. Unfortunately refund option was not an option. MSi laptop was $1799 using store credit also but found the same/similar entry level gaming laptops from MSi starting at $1099! Was also informed laptop was 120hz but turned out to be 60Hz. Intel i5 processor and not an i7. Due to being on very little money I saved up for a new laptop and the disability that I have makes it much harder to express myself. They did upgrade storage but the whole process has been an extremely stressful experience.
I find it hard to see bad reviews up here. Im so glad to see new management and staff take over. My business computer went down so I caled these guys. Nothing more then fabulous. They were quick to diagnose the problem, listened to what I thought was wrong and repaired in a timely manner half an hour. 100% would recommend. Thanks Sam and Sam
Very bad service, wrecked my laptop and also my pc. They wrecked my pc first before my laptop and i thought maybe it was a one off thing, my laptop needed a new battery and was working fine. They changed the battery and I took the laptop home only for it to not turn on, we took it back and asked what's wrong with it they 'Checked it' and said that it needed new storage now as it must have been dropped. It was never dropped and was in a very good laptop case that wouldn't allow for it to be damaged even if the laptop was dropped. Will never go to eds pcs again and I recommend that no one else should either.
The staff is very friendly and attentive. However, $69 for a diagnosis and to be told after they can't order my parts as they don't deal with larger Apple repairs was a bummer. I was told to sell my laptop for parts and not to even worry about fixing it. I recommend you go to NextGen where the diagnosis is free and they can give you rates for fixing it.
Great service from phone call to the desk. I brought my computer in with the vaguest description of the problem and they fixed it almost immediately. Will recommend to friends and family.
My Sony Vaio motherboard faulted and I took the computer and the back up memory stick to them. They took their time to listen to our requirements, and suggested the best laptop to buy that would be suitable for our needs. Not only did they give us a good price they agreed to transfer the data to the new system. I am disabled and have a lot of problems with recognizing new information, Ed's PC then changed the format so that I could understand it. Shannon and Zak were polite, attentive and gave us accurate information, they weren't trying to baffle us with jargon, just good service.
