We had a wonderful experience with the hotel. We initially got a room different to our expectation but Kennan sorted that out for us.. Please convey our thanks to him! The entire staff was quite helpful, courteous and understanding which made the stay pleasant and a nice experience! Breakfast was really nice with tasty baked beans and veg curry.. Thanks to Melissa and other staff members from Ottie restaurant who helped us with dietary requirements and served us with the smile during lunches and breakfasts!
The rooms are pretty standard for what you’d expect of this type of place.nnThe concierge guy was nice and quite affable.nnThe chap at reception who checked us in greeted us with “ID and Credit Card please” which seemed a little less than welcoming… he also some how managed to put us in the wrong room type.nnA quick call to reception, and a different gent came up to our room and fixed everything with some keys to a new room. River views were very nice.nnShould note that Crown Rewards are not accepted here as it is an IHG hotel.nnBuffet breakfast at Otties was quite nice, with a good selection of things to try. Lots of fresh fruit which I enjoyed.nnThe “Dive Bar” seemed more like a flamingo decorated its own man cave. They have happy hour between 6pm and 7pm. Our reservation came with a $50 drink and food credit, so we used it here.nnWe did order room service one night. You can just place an order and pay for it online. We ordered something easy after a long day walking; chicken parmigiana and a burger, both were serviceable and “did the job”.
Fine. Drink bottles in the room would’ve been nice. The room was absolutely tiny and the check out experience was strange. No questions about whether I enjoyed my stay. The room was far too hot on arrival - it was set to 24 degrees!
We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel, and the staff were very helpful and courteous, and a pleasure to deal with. We were upgraded by the staff as it was my birthday weekend , away. The room and the view were amazing, and getting around from place to place was made so easy with the tram right out front.nThe breakfasts at the hotel were very well catered for and the selection of food on offer was enough to cover everyone's tastes. I must say, the only complaint I would have , would be the evening meals ! The food was cooked well but please find a substitute for the French fries , as I can get them at any McDonald's for a fraction of the price.
I recently stayed at this hotel and had an absolutely superb experience. This hotel was perfectly located, providing both comfort and convenience. The service from reception, Dive bar and Otties was exceptional from start to finish. I was pleasantly surprised when I was able to check in early at 8 am, well before the standard check-in times. This thoughtful gesture set the tone for the rest of my stay. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here again. Five stars all the way!
