nIncredible Anniversary Stay at Crown Metropol!nnMy partner and I recently stayed at the Crown Metropol to celebrate our 2-year anniversary, and I can’t even begin to express how amazing our experience was. We stayed in the Loft, one of the hotel’s premium rooms, and it truly exceeded all expectations. It was hands down the most luxurious, comfortable, and breathtaking hotel room we’ve ever stayed in—not just in Melbourne, but anywhere!nnFrom the moment we entered, we were stunned by the 360-degree views of the city. The floor-to-ceiling windows flooded the space with natural light, making the entire room feel incredibly spacious and open. The king-size bed was beyond comfortable—honestly, the best sleep we’ve had in a long time. And don’t even get me started on the bathroom! It was an absolute dream—massive bathtub, sleek design, plenty of mirrors, and top-notch amenities. The attention to detail was beyond what we could’ve imagined.nnThis was our first stay at Crown, and it definitely won’t be our last. Crown Metropol never disappoints. The service was impeccable, and the facilities were world-class. The indoor infinity pool is next level—so relaxing with tons of natural sunlight, perfect for unwinding. The gym is also one of the best I’ve seen at a hotel—fully equipped with everything you need for a great workout.nnEverything about our stay was perfect, and though we’re sad it was only for two nights, we’ll absolutely be back. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a truly exceptional hotel experience in Melbourne. Thank you, Crown Metropol, for making our anniversary unforgettable!
Crown and Crown Metropol offer an outstanding experience right in the heart of Melbourne. While the overall rating reflects the natural aging of parts of the property, this should not overshadow what they do exceptionally well.nThe service is genuinely astonishing, professional, attentive, and consistently welcoming across all touchpoints. Staff go out of their way to make you feel looked after, which elevates the entire stay.nThe atmosphere is vibrant and refined, capturing the energy of Melbourne perfectly while still feeling polished and immersive. From dining to entertainment, the experience is seamless and engaging.nIn short, while some areas show their age, the exceptional service and unforgettable atmosphere make Crown and Crown Metropol a standout destination in Melbourne’s CBD.
We stayed here for 3 nights in a high luxe city view room. We were very disappointed for a 5 star hotel and for the price of the room, in the quality of it. Because the room mentioned ‘luxe’ we thought there would be an element of luxury. But the decor was drab and tired. The shower had mould. Similar to Premier Inn in the UK! However the room was spacious so when we asked what was luxury about it we were told it was the size. Our view was not of the river but on the side we were looking down on a car park. Probably needed to pay more for a river city view. We paid $529 for the Saturday night alone. Breakfast was also a bit disappointing. Plates were not hot sgd therefore the food became cold.
From the start I did the online fast check in with licence and had to go thru it again checking in The girl checking us in had no personality at all just looked straight thru you She offered us a upgrade special but we didnt take it because of her no care attitude We stayed 2 nights in Docklands before at a 4star and felt more welcome there.nWaited for our room to be made up even with the makeup room light on and had to call at 6pm to get fresh cups glasses and bed made A lovely young man came and fixed all Said he was with Crown 6 years What a delight he was
Went to Crown Metropol for the first time for 4 nights. We previously went to Crown Towers and thought we give Metropol a go this time.nnWe had the room with 2 x double beds. The room itself was ok, but we prefer the room at Towers. There was no bathtub at Metropol and when you have an infant having a bathtub is easier than the shower. Also, our room was not properly reset for our arrival. There was no slippers, the body wash and conditioner bottle were both empty. We had to ask them to refill and provide the slippers.nnFurthermore, both the beds roll. It was just a bedrest and the mattress was on top of a rolling frame which was meant to be secure to the bedrest but i think the lock is broken. So when we sit back against the bed rest you can feel the bottom of the bed sliding. We had to put the chair in the room infront of it to prevent it from sliding more. There is no internal lock on the door either.nnThe breakfast buffet was alright smaller than the conservatory and was only $9 cheaper than conservatory buffet. At metropol they charged you for coffee for the breakfast unless you just drink the packet coffee that they make on the buffet side. At the conservatory you can order any coffee and there are no extra charges. They have a chocolate fountain as well at Metropol but the chocolate they use is not as good, it’s very grainy in texture.nnThe 2nd day when we went for breakfast they were more busy and they might have been short staffs as well. As we asked for a english breakfast but we got close to went we already finished our breakfast and was about to leave.nnThe swimming pool is smaller than Towers and water doesn’t seem to be heated but it wasn’t too cold either. They have a small hot tub as well next to the pool but without the jets only heated to 38 degree.nnI am aware Metropol is cheaper than Towers, but the price wasn’t that cheap either and for the quality and service would have spent it at towers for the excellent quality and service. The difference in pricing for both was just 1 night.nnFrom the hotel you can go on level 1 for the breakfast and that is connected to the other hotel Towers and Promenade. Also, its like inside a shopping complex as they got foodcourt and other restaurants inside. So you don’t have to go outside of the hotel if you want to stay indoor.nnOverall if we had to choose again we will definitely go to Towers instead.
