Absolutely loved our visit to The Bird Cage for dinner the other night. We had an entree, main and dessert and couldn't fault a single thing. Food was delicious, service was excellent, and ambience was perfect. And there's even free parking - huge plus for that part of town! We'll be back for sure.

In from Ontario, Canada visiting Auckland and stumbled upon this beautiful historic Bar and Grill. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming with friendly smiles from all of the staff. Everything our group ordered was delicious and cooked to perfection. Portions were generous with lots of food for sharing new tastes...and all very reasonably priced compared to other eateries we had been to. Definitely would highly recommend!

A nice atmosphere for drinking and dining in one of Auckland's oldest buildings. Food menu is reasonably varied, and staff service is great. Outdoor area is really nice during good weather as well.

Brilliant. Owner has the place humming. Restricted by council in many areas but I would recommend it as best venue in auckland been to in recent years

Great venue and friendly staff. Happy Hour selection is very limited to mainly two types of beer and one type of wine. Starters were very tasty with good portions, and the mains were very tasty too, although the portions were smaller than expected for all three of our dishes.
