Pretty disgusted with the way we were treated. Came here with my girlfriend on a Saturday night after midnight looking for some shelter from the cold. Sat around for a bit and got told to buy a drink, which is very fair so we bought two. We were having a pretty serious night and my girlfriend spent a lot of the time we were there crying in my arms, so we weren't exactly feeling very thirsty, so didn't have much. Guy from the bar comes over and tells us we weren't drinking, tells us to leave and accuses us sleeping. We explain we weren't, but the guy's stubborn and rude and doesn't budge. We were pretty shocked. I've been to a lot of bars on my time, and paying for my drink is usually a sufficient condition for one staying, not the number of sips they take out of it, provided they don't cause any trouble. We were very quiet and not disruptive at all. The bar was near empty, there was hardly anyone to disrupt! Not good sportsmanship. Please show more empathy and kindness to your customers.
We had an amazing night with friends in this cool pub! Music was awesome, the vibe was great and the staff were so friendly. Highly recommend!Food: 5/5

A very comfortable, clean and friendly place to go for locals and a great spot for tourists in Auckland looking for somewhere that's open late. Auckland can be a bit rough around the edges, but this diamond in the rough has a very safe and welcoming feel to it. The irish bar girl had a great sense of humour and was lovely to chat to, giving the place a great sense of authenticity.
