Went there to buy a bulb and asked their salesman, Ismail, if I can return the product in case it doesn't fit. He looked at me and asked when will you return it? I said either today or tomorrow and he said until tomorrow is fine. Then when I got the receipt it said you can return up to 30 days!(which makes a lot more sense) I was lucky the bulb fits otherwise I'd have had a hard time walking into their terrible store!

After very ordinary customer service the first time we were in the store, lack of product knowledge on the best lighting for a bathroom, being told that it doesn't matter on what sort of lighting you get, which is sooo wrong. We decided to go to the Coburg store for our bathroom lighting, they were fantastic and suggested great options, we spent about $1,000. We decided to go back to Thomastown store for a dinning table light, why do we do these stupid things. Couldn't even get a smile out of the guy that served us and very basic help with lighting. We brought 2 lights , $800 worth, still no smile from the guy. We got home and found that the colour of the light was black and the shades he gave us were aged charcoal colour, this is after i asked if they were the correct ones before i left the store. Also to top it off, after looking on Beacon light site, i found the light we got was a part of the mix n match range, would of been nice for the sales guys to say ' hay do you know that you can match this light with different shades and globes'. So off we go back to Beacon ( not Thomastown, not that silly) and get the correct light and some actual service.

Very good selection. Prices a bit high, but buy things in June and get some great discounts!

I'm not sure if people are aware but Beacon lighting exclusively sell only one brand. That brand has quite an extensive range so that may not be a problem for you. I do recommend taking a look at the online catalogue first as is possible to miss items in the range in store. The staff there are pretty good and the prices can expensive for what the goods are.
