Mid week really quiet. $9 tickets as cinebuzz members. Small popcorn and a drink a bit pricey at $11 but it was more a medium. Seats good with a high back you can rest your head on.
Barely tolerable. Very small movie theatres normally found in stand alone independent cinemas, not in the fold of Event Cinemas. For a far superior and cheaper experience, drive 5 minutes down the road to Hoyts at Tweed City SC for recliners at bargain prices, or 15 minutes north to Robina to far better installations.
Went to see the new Venom movie. Theatre was empty at an afternoon session on Thursday. Fairly cheap tickets at $12.50 if you're a cinebuzz member. Although, the food is quite expensive so that is a downside go to the woolies for better prices. Even though the nearby Hoyts has the fancy chairs, they are more expensive so I would much rather go here.
This cinema complex has been around in its present format for quite a few years now, compared to the complex at the Tweed City with its recliners and sleek and roomy new ticket and shop area could be discribed as dull and lack luster but the bottom line does show in the ticket prices which were lower. The area is clean, tidy and I have always found the staff to be friendly, cheerful and helpful. The basement level parking has always been a bit of a hassle if you forget to validate your ticket at the validation machine or at the cinema ticket booth were they will give you 4 hours free parking on presentation of your ticket. Don't just drive to the exit and expect the boom gate to open. I hope this review has been helping and if so please press the like button. Cheers
I've been here a few times over the years, it's comfortable & a good variety of films on offer. It's enjoyable when I come to the area as it's located in the "showcase"arcade which is a modern & nice arcade in the seaside picturesque place called Coolangatta on the border of New South Wales.
I found the two previous reviews inaccurate and insulting to the diligent and friendly staff and management at the Coolangatta Cinema Complex. Me and my son go there all the time and utilise my companion card. There were issues the first time we used it and management went the extra mile and were very helpful and understanding. The cinemas are well-appointed, and we enjoy the smaller more intimate cinema experience and it is easier to get to and better parking for us. There is never any popcorn or rubbish on the floor or seats when we go there and the cinemas are very clean, as are the toilets. As for the prices they are good too and they have pension discounts on Tuesdays and I am also able to use my pension card and companion card when I go. We love going there ---- it is our favourite cinema at the Gold Coast.
The cinema smelled very musty, most likely a consequence of Covid closure, but a good dose of air freshener would have helped. Seating is comfortable, and distancing was not an issue as the two of us were the only patrons in the cinema!
Walked in all the bins are full over priced walked into our cinema right on time the place was completely filled with rubbish never seen a cinema so bad before. Would understand if it was a busy night but there was only my boyfriend and I and a family of four here confronted the staff but they kinda brushed it off like it was nothing went in and there was still popcorn on all the seats still in really poor condition whole place was filthy and would rate it zero stars if I could never felt the need to write a review on any place until now
Watched a 9pm movie - Could've walked into the cinema and watched the movie for free. No one to check tickets. Main door wasn't closed , so we could hear other movies being played very loudly. Seats were so uncomfortable and made noises every time you moved. Toilets were absolutely disgusting.
Great cinema though need to put in Reclining seats like Hoyts Tweed City + have more than 2 cinemas for disabled. Wanted to see movie Judy recently + was told they weren't showing it. Very disappointed. Membership Program CBuzz great for pensions. Luv it. Also get emsils re upcoming movies via email weekly plus free morning teas plus movie 4 $10 is great.
