Cineplex is usually a great experience, good value, even though it is a bit old.nToday after I ordered tickets, drink and ice creams for my partner and I, the attendant advised me I could not bring in my half eaten lunch onside.nI get that cinemas make income from food, that is why I had placed a significant order with my ticket order.nI decided to finish my lunch outside meaning I miss the start of the movie so I ended up cancelling the order and left.nSometimes it makes you wonder why they would push away a $50 sale for the sake of a half eaten lunch.nI can not remember the last time I visited the cinema and it was over half full, I would have thought they valued every ticket the sold.
I accidentally went to this theatre with my friends and it turned out to be a hidden gem! The tickets were only $9, much cheaper than other places, and we were so happy to watch a movie here. Drinks, food, and ice cream are all affordable, so no stress.nnThe atmosphere feels like stepping back into the 1980s — relaxing, enjoyable, and the staff are lovely too. We went on a weekday and in our movie room there were only 6 people, so it felt like watching at home.nnThere’s also a nice café and some small local shops within walking distance. Parking is easy, the vibe is calm, and you can even enjoy a movie alone without feeling out of place. I’ll definitely come back again. Honestly, it’s better than Harbour Town or Australia Fair’s big shopping centres — no stress, just pure enjoyment.
Nerang Cinemas are ok, alot more quieter and cheaper than most Cinemas around the coast, but they are very dated though. You pay for your tickets over at the food counter. Inside the Cinemas themselves they have that very old musky smell about them and I dread to think how much food and drink has been spilt into the carpets over the years, but what we can't see with dimmed lights, I wouldn't stress to much about. The seats are not the most comfortable, but tolerable for a 2 hour movie. Your typical cinema food prices are maybe a tad cheaper than most places, but only the very basics like popcorn, choc tops, chips, some lollies, soft drinks, not alot of choice, don't serve alcohol either, you go to the fancy places for that. But hey, if you there to watch a movie at a cheaper price, and less people, its perfect
This place is the best theater in Gold Coast. For less than the price of admission to any other theater you can also get your snacks and drink. It’s clean and everything there is perfect. It is more than worth it to make the trip and skip the other theaters.
