I think the post office itself is ok, although I don't use any other post offices to compare. Slow, but thorough. But the delivery people don't leave parcels. I think there must be a fear of liability if something goes wrong. Perhaps Australia Post tells them they have absolute liability - that would deter anyone from delivering parcels! I don't want the posties to get into trouble. But they should at least be diligent about leaving cards, which they are not. However, a very professional temporary worker delivered my parcel into my letter box today March 12 - I want to shout out to him for an actual delivery. Unfortunately, he's only there for a few more days. Thank you, sir!
As many other reviews have said, postal workers do not even attempt to deliver parcels and you get told to collect from the post office.nnThere are always massive lines and as I work I only have certain windows of times where I will be available to collect something from the post office and if the lines are too long it can make it impossible.nnYou think the staff would want to encourage the postal workers to make deliveries so they don't have long lines of angry customers.
Parcels rarely actually get delivered, even if I'm home to accept it. Then it says it's been taken to the Annandale post office. I get there and they barely look for it and tell me it's not there. I tell them I just got the notification it had been dropped off there so it has to be there.nnThey clearly have issues with delivery drivers not doing their job which creates more work for the staff that they don't want to do to organise it efficiently. Then instead of finding parcels they just try and get customers to leave without the items they paid for/paid for home delivery for/gone out of their way for.nnIt's a nightmare every time. I've never seen a post office so disorganised.

Every single parcel is “attempted to be delivered, but no one was home” when I have been home every time I was expecting a parcel. Not to mention the time they flat out lost a parcel. When I get there to collect the parcel, it takes 30 minutes or more, only to be met with animosity at the counter even if I’m super polite and smiley. Things happen, I get it. I will never be rude, it’s worthy of returning the smile. Also, the post office needs serious pest control. Huge cockroaches in store every time.
