Fast check in and check out. Very friendly staff. Frequent shuttle bus with space enough for your luggages. Thanks for giving our big group (6 cars) similar model with good price. We will surely choose Apex Car Rental for our next trip to New Zealand or Australia. Pay exactly as you booked (unlike some other companies, booked at low price but end up paying some hidden fees when you take the car)

Rented a car for 2 weeks...the car that I was presented with was old and not what I was expecting from the photo of the car on the rental page. The photo is a BRAND NEW photo of that model car, and not the aged version of the car I was presented with . The window washer didn't work, the wiper blades were old and the windscreen was smearing in the rain... it was missing a front indicator cover.  Radio was just useless, cd player didnt work...

    I was extremely disappointed.  WILL NEVER rent from again.!!! Found a MUCH better car rental place and have since used them numerous times.  There loss my gain.

The good - very cheap rental, unlimited km, no qualms upgrades, very fast return. And the car was not *so* new that we worried about minor “wear and tear” scratches on a shiny paint job.

The bad - a bit further from the airport than all the others, had to take a shuttle to/from instead of walking from the terminal. Staff were not rude but were not very friendly. We had to fit a hire child seat which we booked in advance - understandable, but I’d have been happy to sign a waiver than trust my bleary eyes after 14 hours in aircraft/airports.

I have rented from Apex on two different occasions and was very pleased both times. I really appreciated that the price that you're quoted at the time of booking is the price that you will actually pay without any upsell, hidden fees, or anything else of that nature.

If you're getting picked up from Auckland Airport don't forget to call to let them know you're ready for a pickup as their vans only go to the airport when they are actually picking somebody up or dropping somebody off.

+ got the car we requested in good condition
+ no pushing for upgrades and extras
+ no hidden costs
