The Albion Park Veterinary Hospital has been caring for animals and owners in the Illawarra and South Coast for over 60 years. We are an independently owned, non-corporate general practice employing local veterinarians and veterinary nurses who are passionate about delivering health care to your pets with compassion and professionalism.
Gerringong Veterinary Clinic was established in 1953 by Dr Artis Medenis, servicing the local dairy industry, horses and companion animals. Albion Park Veterinary Hospital was established in 1978 providing companion and production animal services throughout the Illawarra and South Coast. In 1980, Dr Andrejs Medenis began working in the family business and proceeded to establish our current purpose-built hospital on Tongarra Road in 1991.
In 2005, Gerringong Veterinary Clinic moved to its current premises on Belinda Street to meet an increasing demand for companion animal services, continuing to provide production animal services to local farmers. Dr Hamish Jarratt started working for Albion Park & Gerringong Veterinary Hospitals in 2003 and together with his wife Dr Cindy Jarratt, took over ownership of both veterinary practices in 2016.
We offer comprehensive veterinary services for companion animals, livestock, exotic and unusual pets. As one of the largest hospitals in the region, we also offer 24-hour emergency care. Find us at our Albion Park or Gerringong branches.
