The queen bed was 2 single beds pushed together but was still comfy. Bathroom light illuminates the whole room, bad design if someone is sleeping! There's a kitchen but no cooking equipment except a small frying pan and an oven with no tray to cook things on so it's mostly just for hot drinks and microwave meals if you're wanting to eat in. Apart from that the room was nice and clean and there was a little dishwasher. Shower was pretty powerful and there was lots of soap provided. Would stay again if in Auckland as the price was reasonable.
$89 room from walking in at 4pm. Great value. Room was dated and basic. Shower nice, though a fixed head. Towels thin and rough. No milk in fridge. Location good for a night out on K road, or a bit of a walk up from Queen st. I would stay again at the price I paid. My room was not double glazed, so a little noisy. Walkability: On Auckland's main street. A walk up a steep hill. K road, the queer and party street, is very close.
i stayed in this hotel for one night during my honeymoon. and i just put my wedding ring in the shower room. After i checked it out, it seems they did not find my ring at all after even double check. so what is the conclusion? do not leave your ring in the hotel. Safety: lost personal stuff but the hotel did not find it
Tiny rooms, but seem very clean. Single bed in small room. Same money gets you more space elsewhere. I thought I'd give this a try for a change. Iron, but no ironing board. Check-in advertised for 2.00pm, but when I arrived at 3.00, room not ready. Average, but better around for the same cash
VR would have received 5 stars; however, was let down by the fact that the advertised double/queen sized bed was actually 2x king singles pushed together. We live in the 21st century and there is no need to have this arrangement in hotel rooms now. The location was brilliant, 15 minute walk to Sky tower and neighbouring attractions. The front of house & food services were absolutely 5 stars, they offer airport transport for a price that is on par with Uber/Taxi's but a lot less hassle. Our family of 4 has room service both nights, not expecting much and was absolutely shocked by how great the food was and priced very well. Walkability: 15 minutes walk away from Sky tower and other CBD attractions Food & drinks: Room service was fantastic
Some of the staff personnel was great… Others looked annoyed when asked question or if their thick accent was not immediately understood. The WiFi in the room was not working. I have been there for a full week and reported it every day… nothing has been done. It costed me 100nzd of data since I was there for work and I really needed it. I told the receptionist… nothing has been done not even offering the breakfast to apologise… cheap location, never again Rooms: It was ok
Really nice hotel room. Had a stove, dishwasher, kitchen sink, utensils, dishware. Room was clean. It’s a little walk from the Britomart area. But the walk is safe and lots of restaurants along the way. Lamps had converter outlets in them. Staff were friendly. Would stay here again.Rooms: 5/5
The compact single room punches well above its weight for a budget no-frills hotel. While the location is a decent uphill walk from downtown, it is right around the corner from K-road and even Mt Eden is not too far a walk and 10-12mins by lime scooter. The room had a nice view and unexpectedly from a budget hotel was double glazed. Everything else was basic and reflected the price, the room was decently clean.
All we were after was a place to sleep & that's what we got. The front desk service was ok. The room was ok. Had a massive king-size bed, a small kitchen, a small cramped bathroom/toilet. The first morning, we tried the restaurant for breakfast. The food was average at best. Didn't go back. Parking was very tight & you had to pay extra. Would we stay again? Possibly, as the cost was ok & it provided what we initially were after - a place to sleep.
We stayed for 4 nights here. The room is quite spacious and all the facilities were there including tea coffee maker, microwave and kettle. The carpet wasn’t clean. The room service team is very friendly but the reception staff isn’t friendly and welcoming. So don’t expect a warm welcome from the reception. They do have paid parking but this should be booked at the time of placing your booking. Parking is really expensive it’s 35$ per night. I used Wilson parking on the opposite side of the road. It’s only 15$ for 12 hours early bird booking via the app and night time street parking after 6pm, which is free.
