Is there any option of 0 star rating? Horrible staffs at reception the worst customer service any company could provide would be VR. Not welcoming at all. Having rude staffs at front desk makes the hotel look more worse as people are greeted and spoken to very rudely, why would this hotel hire staffs that are not helpful or approachable?. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone. Secondly room itself and bathroom are very dirty, hairs on the floor. There’s No TV remote. Check out was as horrible as check in, with the same staff member. Asking her about the bond refund, she replied back with attitude and by raising her voice saying that will be done tomorrow. We asked her if she would go and check the room before doing the bond process? She replied back saying if the room is clean then it will be refunded ? So VR expects us to clean the room too, if we don’t then we won’t get the bond back? What’s the point of having housekeeping? When you expect your guests to clean it before checking out?. She refused to give her name as we wanted to make a complaint and she told us call tomorrow morning? Try to at least have friendly front of house staffs so that guests feel welcomed. Happy arrival and happy leaving.
You get what you pay for sums up this hotel pretty well. We stayed during the week for three nights in July. By no means is it a 5 star hotel and nor is it trying to be. We were happy paying $120 a night for what we stayed in. It was clean and tidy enough, sure there are a few stains on the wall and it could do with a facelift but a reasonable person can understand that hotel's like these are trying to survive after a tough time. The staff were incredibly friendly and happy to go that extra mile if they can. The room itself is spacious and has enough equipment for a couple to be fairly self sufficient for a few days. I would stay again at these prices.
Actually quite reasonable accommodation for the price. Good value. Has the usual wear and tear you'd expect for this price range and location however the room was comfortable and spacious, and the front end team were friendly and efficient. Would stay again, but make sure I book parking in advance as spaces are limited
Check-in was a mess - reception seemed to be extremely understaffed and the parking situation was very much a first come, first serve sort of deal rather than being allocated a spot. The bedding in the room was fine but our studio apartment came somewhat dirty. There were definitely stains on the kitchen and throughout the bathroom. The aircon also seemed to not be working or really weak - the place remained extremely hot despite us turning the aircon to full blast. Would not recommend this place to any travellers.
SCAM !!!!!! Don't STAY HERE!!!! I paid a deposit of $250. I couldn't get back. I called here after one week. they said they paid me back the next day I left. And then I called the bank next. The bank said they haven't refunded me yet. So now I need to try to get my money back through the Bank. They are not sure If I can get my money back. Don't stay there. You will need to pay much more than a 5-star hotel. I could stay super good room if I paid $350 a night.
Bed was clean. Good size room for price. Portacot not in room on arrival, we missed our kids afternoon nap, was there when we got back 3 hours later. Booking system didn't reflect our details correctly or payment, visa charged when it said pay at property. Staff were really nice, small things lacking/not done, I guess staffing issues.. weak excuse tho. Thai 100m up the road, convenience store also. No view in 1 bedroom balcony rooms.
Good location within CBD. Quiet, despite facing on to the street. Comfortable bed. The toilet / shower room wasn't clean, especially the toilet seat, which I cleaned. The wardrobe was also dirty, with something black & sticky on a surface. Internal fire doors were propped open. The front door, a fire door, was locked at night and early morning; the door release was hidden behind a large plant, which I only discovered when I rang the hotel to let me out to get to the airport.
The place is disgusting. First of all, we booked for 3 adults to get to the room and only have a double bed with a ‘lounge’ the lady at reception suggested the third person could sleep on. The lounge was an arm chair. Secondly, we walked out onto the balcony to find copious amounts of cigarette butts and a used needle on the roof below our room! Not a good look for the hotel. After seeing this we asked for a refund and changed hotels straight away.
Stayed there overnight on 1/10/2022 and they charged $600 for a room that otherwise is available for $219 a night. Not much choice in the city on the night we went, but that was vastly more than the room was worth. Was a 2 room suite with queen beds and they were double beds at best. Air con cooled one specific area of the lounge and not the whole apartment, outside noise was worse than the apartment we had right next door to O’Hagans a few years ago. Shower was very low pressure and designed for short people. I’m 180cm and had to stoop in the shower. If you’re staying when the prices are low, it’s probably priced right, but at $600 a night it’s highly overpriced and not worth the money.
Booked through Qantas. Never again. Bed was nice and comfortable. That is all one could say. Early call was on time. Appreciated that but generally poor response from staff. Still waiting request to get tv working. Room had no outlook. Bathroom small, adequate but no bench with basin for toiletries apart from glass shelf at high level. In shower toiletries empty so had to get out to get those provided on the shelf. Booking stated transfers to airport at a cost. Does not exist. Told get a taxi. No food anywhere decent. Thank god for Uber.
