Taupo Ascot Motor Inn

Decent room for the price, but my stay felt like a comedy sketch gone wrong. First off, no hot chocolate—just green tea! Because nothing says “relaxing getaway” like sipping on leaves.nnThen there were the neighbors… one neighbour to the left was making a weird howling sound every 30 mins, the neighbour to the right.. well who clearly missed the memo that 6 PM to 10:30 PM isn’t time to party at a HOTEL. I was ready to hurl the bed through the wall just to get some peace and quiet! And speaking of the bed, it was so hard and squeaky that every move felt like I was auditioning for a role in a horror movie. Boring.nnThe next day, I realized I could’ve called their room to tell them to keep it down, Who knew I had that power? Next time, I’ll splurge on a nicer hotel instead of playing “how cheap can I go?”nnAlmost forgot the shower. Now I’m no shower/builder expert but I should be able to put the shower Matt down without the shower door being so low it scrunches it up, you guys need to lift the shower doors, and put a skirting down on the ground so that water can’t escape… I understand this may be for wheel chairs a skirting shouldn’t be an issue anywaynnAt least the parking was a win! Every room has its own spot off the street, so my “Lamborghini” was safe from any potential thieves. So, if you’re looking for a place that’ll give you a few laughs and maybe a headache, this might just be the spot!nnI’ll give you a 4 star as it wasn’t your fault the mother, father and son wanted to party! Nice hotel

Super clean room, and large enough to comfortably accommodate three adults and a child. The property is located close to town and the lake, making everything Taupo has to offer accessible. The price was excellent for the service received and the cleanliness of the space.

Called last minute to stay a night after dissapointment from our initial accomodation arrangement a different place. The owners of Ascot Motor Inn were very accommodating and helpful to us, truly saved our trip to Taupo.nAscot Motor Inn was perfect for us, clean, spacious and the spa bath was great. We had an amazing time here and were so grateful we got to stay here. Great place and amazing value for money!

Close to the tourist spots, well equipped kitchen and a spa bath! The rooms were large and there were 2 tv's we also received a spa bath which was nice. The man at reception was friendly.
