Cascades Lakefront Motel

We love staying at Cascades. Fab location, comfortable rooms & great spa pool. Its pet friendly & some rooms have little fenced courtyards for your dogs. It is an older hotel but the price reflects this. Very affordable. The hosts are lovely & we will keep returning!

Great position in Taupo. Friendly welcome and explained their policy re our dog and showed us to the room. Very comfortable. Older and a little tired but clean, tidy and comfortable. Great bed. Will use again.

Best customer service I've had in a long time had late check in I was sent a txt clearly explaining where the key would be sent photos so we could find the motel easier as we were traveling in the dark ,lights and heater on in our room. We were given a free up grade the room was very clean with plenty of room so good we could take our dog wished we had time to stay longer will definitely stay again

Our stay at Cascades Lakefront near Lake Taupo was phenomenal! The views of the lake and mountains, especially at sunset, were breathtaking. Our room was clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. The staff was friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. Highly recommend for tranquil and memorable getaway!

We booked a “large” family unit but it’s really quite small with one king shared with kitchen, no sofa and not enough chairs for dining. There are 3 single beds at the top but essentially not walled off. The kitchen lacked sufficient bowls/plates for a “large” family. Unfortunately there were ants in the shower. Hot water was limited and shower pressure is low. Not a 4 star in my books.
