Ōtāhuhu Library

I love our local library, however the older Russian lady by the printers lacks people skills. It's like she has no awareness that people are waiting for assistance. I don't mean to be rude in my comment, however this is my honest opinion and experience. The other lady is great. This won't stop me from coming to our local Otahuhu library I love coming in with my son, everyone here is welcoming even the security guard she's great!

That old lady at the reception near printers is soo damn rude. Idk if she’s volunteering that’s why she doesn’t have common courtesy or if she just thinks because she is old she can talk to people whoever how she likes. She’s still working in customer service and must have some sort of manners. Please and thank you, how can I help you. Goes a long way lady !!

I appreciate having a local library in Ōtāhuhu, but unfortunately, my experience hasn’t been very positive. There’s an older lady working in the printing section who seems to struggle with helping people. She often appears impatient and doesn’t provide clear guidance, which makes the printing process stressful rather than helpful. Libraries are meant to be places of support and learning, so I hope they can provide better training or assistance in this area. With a few improvements, this could be a much better experience for everyone.

Okay first of all this place is not suitable if students are planning to do self study. The reading tables and chairs have clear dust and debris that makes you yuck. Not hygiene at all. Also the computer areas are not clean. I got urine smell coming beside the chair I sat for a moment. And you would find other type of people who are just taking a nap taking 3 seats space. Not reader friendly at all. Please improve hygiene.

A great place for reading and exploring knowledge either by books or digitally. There plenty reading spaces and quite spaces. Excellent and friendly staff who are also knowledgeable. Amazing place to be. Clean, modern and great ambience.
