Highland Park Library

Prior to arriving at the library I researched to see if there would be a JP onsite, Google stated yes and gave specific timeframes. Upon arriving there was a half covered sign indicating that a JP would only be available on premise on a Saturday!!nI asked at the counter and an employee that did not speak very good English confirmed Saturday is the only day.nThis is not very helpful for someone that traveled over 30mins to see one urgently/specifically.nAlso, there were no desks/chairs available, as the Asian community had resides there to conduct business etc with their laptops. Parking is also a nightmare.nNot a great experience at all.

It's a pleasant, well lit place. The arrangement of different classes of books is clear. Plenty of seating. Love the shelves automatically registering returns. Easy to check out books.

Most of the staff are fine. I did have one negative experience, though—a staff member redirected me to a Chinese colleague before even asking what I needed, seemingly assuming my English wasn’t strong.

We visited library at about 5:30pm on Wednesday 15.11.23. And we noticed that in both side of library some group of students seating talking loudly and eating snacks as they are having picnic and drinking flavored milk and cold drinks and chips and sausages inside the library .we found this inappropriate.

A happy place, filled with learning and a good vibe.nDon't listen to the 1 star reviews lol, snacking and studying is a vibe.
