Devonport Library

I had heard so many great things about Devonport.. especially that it’s a must-visit for book lovers.. and I can happily say it did not disappoint.nnThe Devonport Library is absolutely wonderful: quiet, spacious, relaxing, and thoughtfully designed. The staff were incredibly warm, welcoming, and genuinely friendly, which made the experience even better.nnWhat makes Devonport extra special is how everything comes together so beautifully.. the charming local shops, the laid-back atmosphere, and the stunning, picturesque views of Auckland CBD from the shoreline. It all blends into something that feels almost dreamlike.nnAnd the best part? The drive there is such a breeze. Definitely a place we’ll keep coming back to.

Quiet and cozy, but suprisingly well stocked public library. Large children's area and collection, and a worthwile stop if you're strolling through Devonport. Just a stone's throw away from the ferry terminal and multiple F&B options. Do be respectful of other library users, many people visit here for reading and quiet work.

Beautiful beautiful library with many seating options, lovely architecture, and a sense of trust in the community. It’s situated close to the ferry dock, across from one of the best playgrounds ever and one of the largest Morton Bay Fig Australian Banyan trees in New Zealand.

Davenport Library is such a pleasure to visit. It’s always so quiet and peaceful, making it the perfect spot to relax and focus. They have an incredibly wide variety of books—no matter what you’re looking for, you’ll find it—such a gem in the community..

One of my current favourite library, beach side, very good interior design too! there is playground nearby also! very kids friendly.
