This is by far the most beautiful library I’ve ever visited. I’m sure many people would walk in and feel the same.nnIt honestly feels like one of the most beautiful libraries in the world.nnThe space is bright, calm, and thoughtfully designed, with stunning ocean views that make reading or working here feel effortless and relaxing. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to stay longer than you planned. A real gem in Auckland, New Zealand
Every Friday, a for one HOUR, a singing group is held in the middle of the library. The noise is extremely loud and can be heard throughout the entire building. During this time, the library ceases to function as a suitable space for studying, reading, research, or work.nnI find it difficult to understand why a library has chosen to host a loud singing event in a shared public space that is intended to support concentration and learning. For three hours each week, everyone in the library is subjected to the noise, regardless of whether they came to study, work, or simply enjoy a quiet environment.nnThis decision appears to prioritise the interests of one group over the needs of all other library users. Not everyone has access to alternative places to study or work, and it is unfair that those people are effectively driven out of the library during the event. If the singing group is to continue, it should be moved to a dedicated room or a venue better suited to a loud recreational activity.nnSeems very innapropiate.
The place is quiet and suitable for studying, finishing homework, of course to read and borrow books and many more. I always come to this library, as it provides a lot of services such as toilets and also the Internet with a limit of 1 GB. The staff here are very nice.
I visited the JP service at Takapuna Library for the first time. Unfortunately, there was no system to manage the queue and no staff guiding people on where to wait.nnI waited for about an hour, but people who arrived later were able to get their documents signed before those who came earlier. Some of us were waiting at different tables and it wasn’t clear where we were supposed to line up.nnIt would be very helpful if there were clearer instructions or a simple queue system so visitors know exactly where to wait.
A hive of creative opportunities. Heaps of different seating options, Work stations. Lovely location near the beach. Modern, spacious and a fun lift
