Sudima Auckland Airport

​My recent stay at the Sudima Auckland Airport was genuinely outstanding, turning what is often a routine airport stopover into a truly memorable experience. From the moment I checked in, the staff were incredibly friendly and efficient, and the hotel itself feels modern, welcoming, and perfectly designed for comfort. The room was spacious, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and it was the ideal calm environment for relaxing before or after a long flight.n​However, the real highlight of my visit—and the source of the most fun—was the fantastic robot delivery service! Ordering food right to my room and waiting to hear that distinctive little chime was a blast. When the door opened and the robot, completely autonomously, was waiting there with my meal, I couldn't stop smiling. It’s such a clever and novel way to receive room service, and it adds a playful, futuristic energy to the entire hotel experience. It was speedy, contact-free, and honestly just delightful to watch.n​If you’re looking for a top-tier airport hotel with excellent amenities, comfortable rooms, great food, and a unique, fun feature that will absolutely make your day, I can't recommend the Sudima Auckland Airport enough. I’ll definitely be staying here again!

We recently stayed at this property and overall found the facility itself to be pleasant, with service that was generally acceptable. However, there are several areas that could be improved.nnParkingnOn arrival, we were unaware that parking was charged separately. While the fee was not excessive, at a rate of $300 per night for the room, I would have expected parking to be included as part of the overall stay.nnRoomsnThe room itself was adequate, but unfortunately, it was noticeably dusty. This became especially apparent when the evening sun shone through the windows, highlighting how much dust had accumulated.nTip - if you can, avoid staying in room 203, there is no view.nnBreakfastnThe most disappointing aspect was the breakfast buffet. The quality of the food was poor: mushrooms and eggs were watery, waffles were hard, and the bacon was both overcooked and cold. When we requested freshly made waffles, we were told this was not possible and that only pre-prepared waffles could be reheated. The selection was limited, as well as only 2 juice options available and the presentation left much to be desired.nnEither we experienced an off day in the kitchen, or this reflects the standard offering, but in either case it did not meet expectations.

Great hotel for those quick stops. We landed in Auckland and were looking for a place to crash that was close and convenient to the airport. Having 7 of us makes it hard to find hotels to fit all so we found Sudima and I had the option of reserving 2 adjoining rooms without paying online but when I get there. The hotel didn't have a transfer bus from the airport so we had to catch the yellow bus which cost us over 50 dollars for a 5 min ride. When we got there, we were given 2 room next to each other but not connected because apparently I didn't book that. The place is basically in an industrial area and you can walk to shops if you don't mind a 20+ mins walk or grab a uber. Breakfast you also need to pay for but in hindsight the staff was polite and the rooms were clean.

Stayed at the Sudima as a stopover to Christchurch. Very short stay and we arrived in the very early hours of the morning, but I was impressed with the lobby area on arrival, it was very aesthetic.nStayed in a double, it was clean, presentable and all you could want in a room really. Plenty of drawer space and seating, the bathroom and shower was amazing, but most importantly the bed was ultra comfortable. I got woken up from the alarm clock blasting KPop boy band, most likely set from previous guest, but I actually didnt mind that. I refrained from using kettle to make a green tea, as there was a little water left inside, but that is my own personal hang up. Strongly recommend and would book a stay here again in a heartbeat.

Room shower water temperature unstable.nRequested at reception for band-aids, son somehow cuts toes getting out of pool. Informed there's none, which I inquired if they have a first 1st aid kit. Which was able to get band-aids.nnBreakfast buffet has a good selection with an option to have 'eggs your way.'nPool temperature is warm with pool towels available and a shower if required.nAnd checkout time is good at 11am.
