Sudima Auckland Airport

We spent a night here arranged by Qantas as our flight was cancelled and I feel like we were really lucky to get placed in such a nice hotel! The hotel was spotless, the room had a lovely big window and open view and best of all - there is a heated indoor swimming pool that is a lovely temperature to swim and just relax! There is some seating there to relax too. The food was delicious too! And it was nice to have an outside dining patio. And the robot waiter is an entertaining novelty! The staff were really friendly and there was a good bar too with decent drink options. Highly recommend if you need a hotel near the airport!

We arrived at around1.30am, and great service started at the check in. Speedy, informative and pleasant, with apples on the counter at reception for guests to eat.nnOur room had, as we required, two really comfortable beds. A well designed and proportioned bathroom included women's sanitary products, a world first in our experience.nnThe room, and hotel generally, was super clean and well prepared. They appear to have a rolling 24hr stay, so we had a late checkout pushed to 1pm at no additional cost. We had an excellent stay, and recommend Sudima Airport highly.

This hotel was extremely unfriendly and did not properly communicate important information to international guests at all.nnWe stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and 4 days and spent close to $1,000. Honestly, how are guests supposed to know that they must pre-register in order to use the hotel parking lot? As hotel guests, it’s only natural to assume that using the hotel car park is allowed. Later, we received a parking fine for “illegal parking.”nnWe called the hotel and explained the situation, but all they said was that they had “clearly informed us,” that it was our fault for not reading the details carefully, and that we had no choice but to pay the fine. They kept saying it was “not their responsibility,” and told us to contact the parking management company ourselves because it had nothing to do with them. It felt like they were simply trying to avoid any responsibility.nnThe fine itself is frustrating, but what made me even more upset was the hotel’s attitude. At the very least, they could have said something like, “We’re sorry the information was not communicated clearly,” or “We can try contacting the parking company for you.” I believe that is the minimum level of courtesy they should show to paying guests.nnI will never stay at this hotel again, and I would never recommend it to anyone.nnI’ve lived in Auckland for 30 years, and no other hotel has ever treated guests this way.nnDo not stay here. If any other issue comes up during your stay, they will likely avoid responsibility and won’t even offer a basic apology or courtesy.

This was the worst experience of my trip in New Zealand.nnThe room felt very old and worn. I was assigned a ground floor room, which would have been fine, but the window was facing the rubbish area, so I really didn’t want to open the curtains at all. The shower walls also had some visible mould.nnAnother issue was the lack of power sockets. There were no sockets near the bedside, and all of them were located low to the ground and far from the bed. It honestly felt like the hotel didn’t want guests to use their phones.nnThe only positive aspect was the staff, who were very helpful and friendly. However, I would not stay here again. The price I paid was similar to the hotel next door, and I really regret not choosing that one instead.

A fantastic stay for us, a family of 4.nThe rooms were just right, customer service and amenities were awesome. We took advantage of the pool and kids movie night a welcome bonu for our boys. Location was very handy and as we requested, our room located close to lift and pool was granted.nWould certainly stay again.nOnly critique is we would've loved to dine in the resturant but felt the menu selection wasnt family friendly and also more on pricey side.
